💡 “I now recommend HIA to my friends…”

🥹 Our Zeitgeist Fellowship is officially ending tomorrow. We’re heading into our final session both sad about this special time ending and thankful for everything our Fellows have given us during the past few months.

🫶 We are sure this is not good-bye but rather: “See you soon!” Before we wrap it tomorrow, let’s hear one final time from one of our Fellows, Maurice, what he is taking away from this Fellowship.

💡 “I learned an incredible amount from our program.”

Our Zeitgeist Fellowship is ending very soon and while we appreciate the learnings our Fellows like Sonny have kindly shared with us, we want to thank our special cohort for everything that you have contributed to the program. 🥹

✨ Last week, we hosted the first Learning Sprint of RE:CONNECT, our Polish-German Civic Leadership Program. We got together to talk about belonging and how the participants can consider this in their projects.

🚀 “I know we can do great things in our communities“: Our participants Etibar and Pilar share their motivation to get to work and we can’t wait to see what our participants’ projects will have in store for their communities in Germany and Poland. Let’s get started!

💡 “This realization made the fellowship even more valuable to me…”

When asked what they appreciated most about their intergenerational Fellowship with Humanity in Action, our Fellows Brinda and Hannah mentioned the interdisciplinary exchange, multidimensional perspectives and applying broader, critical perspectives to different contexts.

💡Yesterday, we had a look at the benefits of working in intergenerational pairs. Today, we are hearing directly from one of those tandems.

Susanne and Tung explain what impacts their participation in the Zeitgeist Fellowship has had both on their personal and work life. ✨

💡What are the benefits of working in intergenerational pairs?

Two of our Fellows say: Working in tandems does not only hold you accountable and expose you to new perspectives, but they also offer a great support structure. 🤝

✨ “This felt really special…” ✨

RE:CONNECT, our Polish-German Civic Leadership Program, is so much more than taking action. It’s about supporting belonging and connections in our communities. While we can’t wait to see what projects our wonderful participants will come up with, let’s take a moment to reminisce about our Berlin Academy, the in-person program of RE:CONNECT.

Thank you to Lilli and Pilar for finding such beautiful words to describe the openness of this incredible group.

💡As our Zeitgeist Fellowship is approaching its end next month, we want to have a look at all the insights our participants have gained from this program.

In terms of content, naturally, the most prevalent topic of this intergenerational Fellowship is age. One Fellow shares her learning experience: Paying more attention to issues concerning age helps her to engage with other colleagues, to be more aware. 🙌

Last week, the 24 participants of RE:CONNECT, our Polish-German Civic Leadership Program, met in Berlin for a five-day in-person program. We captured one of those days in a little video so everyone can have a look into the atmosphere of the Berlin Academy, a time full of workshops, inspiring conversations, and many more great memories. ✨

When we launched the Zeitgeist Fellowship in March, we wondered how the ideas would translate. Today, the reward is seeing our Fellows turn theory into real organizational change.

As one Fellow put it: ✨ A spark in Berlin. 🗣️ A story from a peer. 💭 Space to refine with a partner.

Now, those ideas are practical strategies being implemented with HR. We don’t wait for the future of the multigenerational workplace but we actually design it. 🤝
