“Potential is everywhere, but access to opportunity is rare.”

This is why Hamza Debbarh founded Ark-x Talent Factory to provide high-level tech training, boost the digital economy in Morocco and support youth across Morocco to build sustainable careers.

Over the last 3 years, Ark-x trained 1,800 young professionals, with an 88% placement rate. 👏

As part of Make it Work, Hamza is working with his mentor Dietrich to scale Ark-x’s impact in Morocco and to the German and wider European market.

With over 30 years of leadership experience and a proven track record of transforming organizations, Dietrich brings indispensable insights and a vast network.

From their first conversation, they knew this was the right match. Together, they explored strategies, challenged assumptions and identified practical next steps for market entry and expansion.

The journey continues this month in Berlin.

6 chairs around a dinner table in Accra.

That’s how Codetrain Africa started. Today, it has grown into a nationwide design & engineering school in Ghana, where more than 700 students were trained, 89% of whom found employment within nine months of graduation. 🎓

We first met Richard in 2018, when Codetrain Africa was still a dream to help everyone with a dream. Since then, he’s become a key leader in shaping the future of tech talent in Ghana and across the region.

We caught up in Berlin to talk about the journey, the challenges, and what he’s doing next. If you want to get involved, reach out to the team at

Richard is one of the people who have been with us since the start, and who inspire us to keep going.

Three months of workshops, mentoring, feedback sessions, bootcamps, and pitch practice all led to this moment.

The ETENA Accelerator Demo Day brought together 8 tourism founders from Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco as they took the stage to pitch their ideas to a room full of jury members, industry experts, and ecosystem players shaping the future of tourism in the region.

The day began with a warm virtual opening speech by Dimitra Papandreou from TUI Care Foundation, welcoming the founders as they prepared to pitch their businesses.

Each founder then delivered a 5-minute pitch, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session with the jury: Ahmed Yehia Ismail, Founder & CEO of Eco Nubia; Ahmed Bastawy, Managing Director at icealex; and Ahmed Khalil, Senior Associate at Den VC.

A proud and exciting milestone for our participants, and only the beginning of what we know they will continue building for the future of rural and sustainable tourism in the region.
