is a global study & collaborative eco-system alliance in one, which scratches beneath the surface of the work, lives and realities of a thousand young social entrepreneurs, activists and changemakers. We hope it will surface their real needs, produce recommendations for funders / policymakers and support networks, while raising awareness of the importance of youth creating positiv

e change in a complex world full of shared challenges & an ever more urgent climate crisis. The study is initiated by ChangemakerXchange, and carried out in collaboration with the leading youth social innovator networks globally, with a combined total reach of thousands of young changemakers, activists and startup social entrepreneurs. These include Ashoka, ChangemakerXchange, Global Changemakers, Kofi Annan Foundation, Masterpeace, Obama Foundation, One Young World, Peace First, Social Impact Award, Social Shifters, SOS Children's Villages, Unleash, We are Family Foundation, Yunus & Youth and YSI (Young Sustainable Impact).

The Future European Economy Compass reveals that changemakers based in Europe envision a Europe where people from all backgrounds have a chance to actively participate in the economy, society is fairer and different strengths are celebrated.

When asked to envision the European economy in 2040, respondents in the Future Economy Study highlighted three core pillars for positive development:

♻️ Sustainability (52%)
📊 New measures of economic success (47%)
🤝 Solidarity and inclusion (42%)

The takeaway?

We are moving toward a more holistic definition of economic progress. But achieving this vision will require coordinated action across policy, markets, institutions, and society.
