is a global study & collaborative eco-system alliance in one, which scratches beneath the surface of the work, lives and realities of a thousand young social entrepreneurs, activists and changemakers. We hope it will surface their real needs, produce recommendations for funders / policymakers and support networks, while raising awareness of the importance of youth creating positive change in a complex world full of shared challenges & an ever more urgent climate crisis. The study is initiated by ChangemakerXchange, and carried out in collaboration with the leading youth social innovator networks globally, with a combined total reach of thousands of young changemakers, activists and startup social entrepreneurs. These include Ashoka, ChangemakerXchange, Global Changemakers, Kofi Annan Foundation, Masterpeace, Obama Foundation, One Young World, Peace First, Social Impact Award, Social Shifters, SOS Children's Villages, Unleash, We are Family Foundation, Yunus & Youth and YSI (Young Sustainable Impact).

For today’s Opportunity Monday edition, we are highlighting five global opportunities specifically curated to back your voice and craft.

◾️GLF Social Media Ambassadors: Storytelling workshops, a global peer network, and direct routes into GLF events. A volunteer role for creators aged 18 to 35 with public accounts posting about land, ecology, and climate.

◾️Girl Child Art Mentorship: Three months of free one-to-one mentoring from a professional artist, plus sessions at their Lagos studios. Open to African women artists aged 19 to 40 who are not in post-secondary study.
Apply by October 30, 2026.

◾️The Open Notebook Fellowship: A $6,600 stipend, weekly mentoring from an experienced science journalist, and four published articles over a remote one-year program. Open to early-career science writers worldwide with under three years of experience.
Apply by October 31, 2026.

◾️Equality Fund Fellowship: A CAD 4,000 stipend plus up to CAD 500 in expenses to report on local solutions with a gender lens. Open to journalists from the Global South with at least three years of experience.
Apply by November 8, 2026.

◾️One Teen Story Contest: $500, dedicated editing support, and publication for winning short stories highlighting the teen experience. Free to enter for writers aged 13 to 19 worldwide (stories in English; entries open October 20).

For 79% of changemakers, pursuing their initiatives means balancing another job, studies, or family responsibilities. And for nearly 1 in 5, this is their biggest obstacle to success (The Possibilists Global Report 2025).
