في قلب لهيب الحرائق التي التهمت ريف اللاذقية الشمالي، يقف رجال الدفاع المدني بكل شجاعة وتفانٍ، يواجهون النيران بأرواحهم، متحدّين صعوبة التضاريس وقسوة الظروف، في سباق مع الزمن لحماية ما تبقى من أرواحٍ وأرض.

وانطلاقاً من رسالتها الإنسانية، لبّت جمعية روح الألمانية نداء الواجب، وتوجهت إلى منطقتي كسب ورأس البسيط، لتكون مع أهلنا هناك، وجهاً لوجه مع المعاناة، شاهدة على حجم الألم والدمار، وساعية لتقديم كل ما يمكن من دعم ومساعدة.

في لحظات كهذه، لا يكفي التعاطف من بعيد. نحن بحاجة إلى أن نكون يداً وقلباً وصوتاً واحداً،يقول: "لن نترككم وحدكم".

نسأل الله أن يحفظ وطننا وأهله، وأن يمدّنا جميعاً بالقوة لنكون نوراً في عتمة المحن.

In the heart of the blazing fires that have ravaged the northern countryside of Latakia, the civil defense teams stand with courage and dedication, confronting the flames with their very lives, defying the harsh terrain and cruel conditions, racing against time to protect what remains of lives and land.

In line with its humanitarian mission, the German Rouh Association answered the call of duty and headed to the areas of Kassab and Ras al-Basit, standing face to face with our people there — witnessing the pain and devastation firsthand, and striving to provide all possible support and assistance.

In moments like these, empathy from afar is not enough. We need to be one hand, one heart, and one voice saying: “We will not leave you alone.”

We ask God to protect our homeland and its people, and to grant us all the strength to be a light in the darkness of hardship.
