The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a unique educational programme which brings together young people from all over Europe to discuss current topics in a parliamentary setting. As a network of independent associations, EYP is present in 40 European countries and organises almost 600 events every year. The EYP network involves close to 35,000 participants on a yearly basis. Thousands of young people are active as volunteers all over Europe, making EYP a programme truly for young people, by young people. The European Youth Parliament’s mission is to inspire and empower young Europeans to become open-minded, tolerant and active citizens.

🇪🇺 The EYP is happy to have been a part of a meaningful exchange on opportunities for young people with Glenn Micallef | European Commissioner, the European Commissioner responsible for intergenerational fairness, youth, culture, and sport.

Last week, two of our Governing Body members, Ali and Ivor, and our Executive Director, Anya, met Commissioner Micallef and his Cabinet in Brussels, sharing thoughts on the EU Youth Strategy and ways to foster more resilient and inclusive youth civil society organisations. 💫

We thank the Commissioner and his Cabinet for the invitation and the insightful conversation! 🤝

🗣️ Tomorrow, 8th of October, join our FINAL Rebuild Ukraine Story Lab Workshop, this time with Yegor Vlasenko, Doctoral Researcher, Laboratory of Urbanism, EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne).

🔵 In his workshop titled “A Planner’s Guide to the Hromada”, Yegor will examine how Ukrainian municipalities organise and develop their communities during wartime, what decentralisation has made possible, and what challenges still need to be addressed.

🟡 This online workshop is part of our series of free online talks with EYP Alumni experts designed to help young people understand the current situation in Ukraine and the outlook for the nation’s reconstruction.

Have you ever wanted to work at the EYP Office in Berlin? 💭

🟡 We are looking for two project managers (80-100%) with a starting date between December 2026 and January 2027 for 12-18 months (with a possible extension afterwards).

🔵 The EYP Office is the resource centre for volunteers, and involves tasks around the daily support of National Committees and members of the EYP network. We work as a team that supports each other and share tasks based on strengths and preferences!

🌱 Do you care about the climate and how young people can shape Europe’s future?

We are happy to invite you to a discussion titled “The Price of Progress: Delivering a Fair, Affordable and Secure Energy Transition“, an official side event of Brussels Climate week that will feature MEP Lena Schilling (Greens/EFA), MEP Lukas Sieper (Renew Europe), and Stephanny Ulivieri, Secretary General of Youth and Environment Europe (YEE). 💫

🟡 The discussion will explore how Europe can deliver an energy transition that is fair, affordable and secure and will feature a presentation of the European Survey 2026 by the E.ON Foundation. The event will be moderated by EYP alumnus Milan Petit, currently Head of the Systems Transformation Hub, who will guide participants through an interactive exchange focused on finding common ground and developing concrete recommendations – in true EYP style!

🇺🇦 The Rebuild Ukraine Ambassadors went on a Study Trip to Ukraine, where for three days they connected with Ukraine’s people and heritage, in preparation for their Lab in Berlin.

🔵 Over two full days, participants explored different aspects of Ukraine’s recovery and European integration: The UNBROKEN centre showed them efforts to support people affected by the war. The Ukrainian Leadership Academy highlighted the importance of young people, community-building, personal development, and emotional growth. The Jam Factory Art Center showed how culture and art play an important role during war. And more insights like this!

We look forward to seeing how their insights will be reflected in the upcoming Policy Paper! Stay tuned for the Rebuild Ukraine Lab this October! 💫

This Friday! 💬 Join our workshop with Oleksandr Vasylkivskyi, a former parliamentary adviser at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, working with the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence.

Oleksandr will speak to us about policy-making and decision-making in Ukraine 🇺🇦

Welcome to Ljubljana 2026, the 11th National Selection Conference of EYP Slovenia! ✨

Over the course of five days, young people from all over Slovenia and Europe gathered in Ljubljana to debate, bond, and work together on resolutions on various topics! ✍️ With the theme, at the Crossroads of Culture, participants discussed topics such as the expansion of the EU, long distance public transport, and migration across the EU! 🗣️

🔵 The EYP National Committee (NC) Project Fund is a tool designed to support activities within the EYP to develop topical projects, and a new call just opened with two available streams!

🤝 The Alumni Stream is part of our "Alumni United" project, in partnership with .On. It provides support to our National Committees to connect and build up their alumni community, with a focus on climate and sustainability-related topics.

🗺️ Security Stream: part of the Erasmus+ funded "Young European Security Conference" project. It supports EYP events featuring security-centered topics.
