🎓Meet the participants of the Training Academy!

📖 The Training Academy is an international event aimed at the young trainers in our network. It focuses on knowledge building, skills development, and project preparation. Over five days in Berlin, a new generation of EYP trainers will shape, challenge, and turn knowledge it into lasting value for the network.

🌟 The Trainers team, led by Nadia Schnider 🇨🇭 and Carlos Drexhage 🇪🇸🇳🇱 as the Head Trainers has created a unique learning programme for participants, preparing trainings in five distinct categories: foundational knowledge, abstract thinking & theory in practice, useful tools & skills, discourse on current topics, and creativity & experimental. The team consists of Mira Engström 🇫🇮 and Sofie de Jong 🇳🇱

📷 The Editors, Angelina Maxima Stacho 🇨🇭 and Elisabeth Gienapp 🇫🇮🇩🇪 will be in charge of highlighting the process of trainings and peer-to-peer education in the network, by visually capturing the moments from the event.

🫂 Melek Pektezel 🇹🇷 will be joining as the Event Safe Person, ensuring the most pleasant and comfortable experience for everyone!

👩‍🎓 And finally, our wonderful team of trainees, who will be acquiring the skills to pass on their knowledge to the network over the coming years!

We wish everyone the best of luck with their work, and can't wait to see what they'll do ✨

The Training Academy is co-funded by the European Union

🔵 It is essential for young people to have a seat at the table with decision-makers and for their ideas to be taken seriously if we want to spark meaningful change. With this in mind, the EYP partnered with Insurance Europe to launch the NextGen Spotlight Video Competition, creating a platform for young people to share their perspectives on why insurance matters and how it shapes our lives and future.

At the 16th International Conference of Insurance Europe, three competition finalists presented their videos, each offering a unique take on the role of insurance in Europe. Following an audience vote, the winner of the NextGen Spotlight 2026 is... Oula Suvanto! 🎉

A huge congratulations from us to Oula, as well as to fellow finalists Maayan Livermore and Jack Hempenstall, whose thoughtful and creative submissions helped make this competition a success. 💙

🌍 Happy World Environment Day.

For the EYP network, sustainability is not a topic we visit once a year. It lives in our sessions, our projects, and the work our volunteers do across Europe every day.

In the latest edition of Young Europe, our magazine, we took a closer look at what that commitment actually looks like in practice. From the Young European Multipliers for Climate Action, where ten young volunteers brought their perspectives on the energy transition directly to Members of the European Parliament, to the Sustainable Engagement Fund, which helped national branches across 25 countries implement greener travel frameworks and zero-waste event models.

💡 The message from our community is clear: Europe needs a greener future, and young people are not waiting to be invited into that conversation.

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month!

Pride is love, a protest, a celebration, and a reminder that the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights is not over, and that solidarity is not a seasonal thing.

💙 At the EYP and in our foundation Schwarzkopf-Stiftung Junges Europa we believe that every young person deserves a space where they can show up fully as themselves. That belief is not a footnote to our work - it is at the core of how we build our community, run our programmes, and engage with the young people who make this network what it is.

This June, as we mark Pride Month, we also want to name something clearly: across Europe and beyond, LGBTQIA+ rights continue to face pressure, setbacks, and outright attacks. We see it. We stand with those affected. And we are committed to being an organisation where inclusion is practised, not just posted.

🫂 To every LGBTQIA+ member, volunteer, alumni, and friend of the EYP - thank you for being part of this community. You belong here, in June and every other month.

Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈

💫 Our Governing Body Member, İrem, Represented the EYP at the Regional Ministerial Conference in Skopje 🇲🇰

🔵 The conference brings together ministers, global experts, and policy-makers to mobilize political support and exchange sound policy advice. İrem participated at the Ministerial Panel Discussion 3: ""Supporting People in Transition: Labour Market, Social Protection, Migration & Diaspora Policies,"" which addressed the need for policies that support people in the transitions that happen in a lifecourse. The EYP represented a youth perspective of the matter, highlighting the uncertainties current generations have to face in the labour market, as well as the importance of including young people in decision-making when it comes to it.

🌟 We want to thank the United Nations Population Fund in Eastern Europe and Central Asia for creating this space for youth engagement! We're excited to continue working together to empower young Europeans.
