👉SPEAKER HIGHLIGHT
If you’ve ever been involved in teaching regular classes or organising local milongas and practicas, you probably have experiences difficulties attracting and keeping new dancers, especially people in their twenties. The average age in tango tends to be quite high but it is often the younger people who enjoy traveling to different events and exploring various local communities, keeping us connected and the spirit of tango vibrantly alive. This is why we are very happy to have the following speaker with us at Tango Connects Berlin.

Daniele Donzello began dancing tango at 18 in Italy and fell in love with the scene after attending his first marathon at 23. He studied intensively with renowned European dancers and started teaching and performing in 2017. Following that, he founded a non-profit tango school in his hometown in Italy and Pisa, aimed at introducing young people to tango. Today, he lives in Warsaw, where he contributes to the local tango community as a dancer, teacher, and organizer of weekly non-profit practices for youth.
During Tango Connects Berlin Conference Daniele will facilite a workshop on the following topic:
ATTRACTING AND KEEPING YOUNG PEOPLE IN TANGO
In this session Daniele will talk about his experience building the Partyka, a non-profit tango community for under 35 years of age in Warsaw (Poland) offers free or donation-based beginner classes, by social gatherings and regular practicas. Over the past three years, Partyka has grown organically to around 80 weekly participants and introduced nearly 1,000 young people to Argentine tango in inclusive, non‑judgmental spaces. Daniele will share their grassroots approach, from choosing accessible venues and offering free-first lessons to fostering community ownership, to show how anyone can launch and sustain a vibrant young tango scene from zero.
We cannot wait to see you in Berlin!
