I’ve been thinking about gestalt therapy minimalism, and here, how an object reveals itself on a fluid and ever shifting surface. And then, how the figures on board themselves become a part of the that object. In the words of Robert Morris: “Simplicity of shape does not necessarily equate with simplicity of experience. Continuing with our recap… On occasion, an everyday object is described as a “work of art”, connotating some kind of greater significance. In the case of our boat, when approaching top speed, it was loudly clear that this was much more than art, producing a greater sensation than what art rarely delivers. First of all, it didn’t fall apart. Inside the cabin, passengers calmly played a board game, while on the outside, a party erupted as we approached 18 knots. We even earned our first speeding ticket and safely moored alongside the police boat. It continues to be a learning experience.

The beginning of a recap of a few wonderful months… On an unusually summery day on September 20, 2025, we launched our boat, officially named Untitled, in Rummelsburg, Berlin. Without having tested the motor, only a few were invited to what we will call a preliminary test launch. Our captain , who has many more years of experience than us, sympathized with the anxiety of not being able to anticipate what might go wrong and therefore not inviting the public, but impressed upon us the magnitude of the occasion, “It only happens one time, so cherish the moment!” He continued with a short blessing. Dan checked for leaks. Hassan made a toast. The boat floats! We are grateful. Cheers! 🥂 🍻 🛥️ We’ll do it again in Spring!

Our last weekend on grass. Come visit us this Sunday, June 23, 3-7pm, at the Fahrbereitschaft. There will be a concert by on the front lawn at 6:30pm. Exhibition and other events starting at 2pm.
