This post is simply a thank you💛

In the past weeks, together we raised 2,130 € for our Power for Survival campaign.

Maybe it doesn’t sound like a huge number.
But to us, it means something real.

Because of you, families will receive power stations, electric blankets, heated bedding and camping stoves.
Things that bring warmth, light and the ability to cook when electricity disappears.

Fundraising is not easy right now.
People are tired. The world is loud. Attention moves on.

But every single euro you gave became something tangible.
Something that will help a family get through another cold night.

We’re not a big organization. We help people we know. People whose stories we’ve heard. People who truly need it.

And that’s why your support means so much.

Thank you for trusting us.
Thank you for standing with them.
And with us💙

THE LARGEST ANNUAL UKRAINIAN EVENT IN THE EU

This week we represented yoUAre LifeSaver e.V. at – and the scale of it was impressive. One place, thousands of people, dozens of discussions – from security and human rights to rebuilding and defense tech.

But it wasn’t only policy and strategy. Cultural events, artists, film screenings, book presentations and creative formats were happening at the same time. Politics, civil society and culture shared the same space – and that mix made the atmosphere very different from a typical conference.

The tone was clear: this is about long-term commitment and real cooperation. About decisions that shape what happens next – politically, economically and on the ground.

It was also clear that Europe is learning from Ukraine’s experience.
How to keep cities functioning during blackouts. Why decentralized energy systems matter. How drone technology is changing warfare. How to react faster in crisis situations. How to support children who are growing up during war.

Preparedness came up again and again. In today’s reality, being ready is not optional.

For us, this connects directly to what we do. Saving lives means medical equipment, tourniquets, generators, protective gear – resources that are urgently needed on the ground. When policies move and partnerships are built, it directly affects how fast help reaches people.

At the same time, resilience is also about people. About knowing what to do during a blackout. How to react in the first minutes of a crisis. How to give basic first aid. The more people are prepared, the more protected a country becomes during war or any emergency.

Beyond the panels, the most valuable part was the people. It honestly felt like a day of reunions – familiar faces, colleagues, partners, people united by shared values. We also met many new ones and hope these connections grow into real collaboration.

Freedom must win – and we keep doing our part.

Moving forward 🤝

More than 12,000 people came.

For Ukraine.
For freedom.
For what is right.

Thank you to the organizers who carried this.
Thank you to the partners who stood with them.
And thank you to everyone who came, walked, and raised their voice.

You were many.
And you were loud.

That matters.

We stand with Ukraine💙💛

We know many people feel exhausted by donation appeals.
And we understand that.
But for many families in Ukraine, the struggle hasn’t stopped.

Russia continues to destroy energy and heating infrastructure.
Electricity comes only for a few hours a day – sometimes not at all. The cold lingers inside homes.

This is not about comfort.
It’s about survival.
For families with children.
For elderly people living on less than 100 euros a month.

This is about real people.
We know many of them personally. Their names. Their stories. We know how they are trying to get through each day. And it hurts to see.
Temperatures may slowly rise.
But their reality hasn’t changed.

Right now, they urgently need:
- Power stations
- Electric blankets
- Flashlights
- Power banks
- Camping gas stoves

Maybe you can donate.
Maybe you can share this post.

Both bring a little warmth to someone who truly needs it.

Thank you for caring❤️‍🩹

For Europe’s future.
We stand with Ukraine🇺🇦

On February 24, it will be four years since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Ukrainian cities are still being bombed. People are killed. Families lose their homes. Many live with air raid sirens, with fear, and with the uncertainty of what the next day will bring.

Energy infrastructure is deliberately targeted. Cities go dark. Homes grow cold. This is not accidental.

This is happening in the middle of Europe.

Four years later, it is still going on.

That is why we will be in the streets on February 24. Not because a demonstration will end the war overnight. But because deliberate attacks on civilians and infrastructure must not become normal. Because a country cannot be forced into submission through darkness and destruction.

As an organization committed to protecting life, this is not an abstract issue for us. We see what this war means for real people. And we stand clearly on Ukraine’s side.

This Christmas, we want to speak to you personally.

Many of us are already buying gifts.
Some are still thinking about what to give.

But there is one gift that can still be made -
a truly meaningful one.

A gift that doesn’t sit under a Christmas tree,
but gives someone the chance to stay alive.

In the coming days, we are traveling to Ukraine.
We are going there with one clear purpose -
to support medics and rescuers with help that saves lives.

Through our organization, yoUAre LifeSaver e.V.,
we are running a Christmas fundraiser for life-saving tourniquets - essential tools used by medics and rescue teams in emergencies.
Right now, they are critically important.

A tourniquet may look simple. But in a critical moment, it can become the only chance to survive.

Here is something many people don’t know:
during the war, most people do not die from their injuries - they die from uncontrolled blood loss.
The time to stop it is only 1–3 minutes.

A high-quality tourniquet can be applied in about 30 seconds - even by the injured person themselves, using just one hand.
Those seconds can decide everything.

💙 One tourniquet costs just €15.
One tourniquet = one life saved. 💙

And saving a life is never just a number.
Behind every life is a person.
A future. People who care.
A story that deserves to continue.

✨ Your support this Christmas is more than a donation.
It helps make sure that medics and rescuers have what they need to save lives and it gives human stories the chance to go on.

If you feel able to help, please support our Christmas fundraiser or simply share this post - that also makes a difference.

🇩🇪 in den Kommentaren

OdesaFest in Berlin was more than just a concert or art event - it became a meeting point of cultures, voices, and human stories.

yoUAre LifeSaver e.V., together with Bezirksamt Lichtenberg and festival initiator Angelika Soldatenko .soldatenko, helped create a space where today’s Odesa spoke to Berlin, and art turned into a language of support and understanding.

Guests enjoyed performances by artists, a vibrant art show, and an atmosphere filled not only with beauty but also with meaning: culture can connect people even in difficult times.

The festival was held under the patronage of Lichtenberg’s mayor, Martin Schaefer .berlin , who reminded everyone of the square renamed Odesaplatz and expressed his support for Ukraine and its people. Berlin parliament member Lilia Usik welcomed the audience and supported the festival throughout the preparations.

We presented our project demonstrating how tourniquets can save lives and collected donations to provide them. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed - your support gives people and their families a real chance at life.

We also warmly thank our partners, organizers, and guests for their trust and invaluable support💛

An evening of music, art & solidarity under the open sky.

OdesaFest not only celebrates the vibrant contemporary culture of Odesa, but also honors the long-standing historical ties between Odesa and Germany - connections that continue to shape dialogue and unity today.

We at yoUAre LifeSaver e.V. are an official cooperation partner of Bezirksamt Lichtenberg and festival initiator Angelika Soldatenko in organizing this special event. Alongside our partners, we’re building a space where culture, history, and humanity meet.

Beyond the stage, we’ll also lead the humanitarian part of the evening: fundraising for tourniquets urgently needed by first responders and rescuers in Ukraine.
💛 Every donation = a life saved.

Supported by Bezirksamt Lichtenberg under the patronage of District Mayor Martin Schaefer.
Other participants include Lilia Usik, member of the Berlin House of Representatives, representatives of the city of Odesa, and associations such as Berlin Fenix Kunst für Frieden e.V., Mizelium e.V., Adlera e.V., and International Cultural Diplomacy.
