In occupied Oleshky, civilians are trapped without a safe way out and without reliable access to food, medicine or medical care. The UN has warned that people cannot leave, supplies cannot enter, and sick and injured civilians are not receiving the help they need.
Roads are mined, aid convoys have come under attack, and there is no organised evacuation system for older people, people with disabilities, or those who are sick or wounded.
Life Bridge Ukraine calls on the German Federal Government Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz and the European Union to work with Ukraine, the UN, the ICRC and other essential international partners to secure an immediate, verifiable humanitarian corridor.
