Call for Editors – Carnival XXVI

The new academic year has begun, and with it, we start our preparations for Carnival XXVI. We are now opening the call for motivated graduate students who would like to join our Editorial Board. CARNIVAL is a double blind peer-reviewed academic journal directed by a committee of international graduate students and early career researchers. In addition to showcasing the work of students of the historical sciences at all academic stages, CARNIVAL provides a unique platform from which emerging scholars are able to develop their skills as writers, editors and reviewers....

📣Call for Workshop Leaders!📣

Are you a student or a young researcher interested in Public History? Are you eager to share your ideas outside of a lecture hall? The International Students of History Association (ISHA) is searching for workshop leaders for its upcoming February Seminar!

🏛️The Seminar “Beyond Telling Tales: Historians in the Public Sphere” will take place in Leipzig, Germany, between the 22nd and the 25th of February 2027. The application deadline is the 10th of October 2026!

🏛️ISHA International is happy to announce out next seminar, taking place in February in Leipzig, Germany. The theme of the seminar is “Beyond Telling Tales: Historians in the Public Space”. “Across boarders, beyond classrooms: Self-Organized Students and the Informal making of knowledge” was the title of ISHA’s panel at the Centennial Conference of the International Committee of Historical Sciences in Leipzig.

From the 26th to the 29th of August, ISHA had the pleasure of participating as the very first students at the CISH conference. Our panel led us from student exchanges between the CSSR and the UK, to African Students in the GDR, all the way to the very first University is Naples and back to student culture in the 19th&20th century Prague, finishing with a small history of ISHA. Many thanks to Charlotte Rottiers and Sven Mörsdorf for organizing the panel and brining us all together for this amazing experience!

Another great milestone has been reached at the General Assembly of the International Committee of the Historical Sciences. For the first time in its 100-year history, the CISH accepted a student into its international board. We are thrilled that our current ISHA President Elina Ziehm has taken this role for the next three years.
We are incredibly grateful to all former ISHA members whose work with the CISH since 2010 has made this historic development possible.

The ISHA-Critical History Tours project management team launched two calls for enumerated student-researcher positions.
