Goodbye SİNEMAplural 2025/26, hello 2026/27!

Back in July, we came together to celebrate the conclusion of SİNEMAplural 2025/26, with the outgoing fellows presenting the projects they developed over the course of the fellowship.

As the very first SİNEMAplural cohort, they shaped what the fellowship could become. We are deeply thankful for everything they brought to this first edition, their commitment and trust, and look forward to seeing how their practices continue to develop. At the same time, we welcomed the new SİNEMAplural 2026/27 fellows, marking the beginning of another year of collective learning, exchange and experimentation around plural approaches to film culture, mediation and education.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing the new fellows and sharing more about what they’ll be exploring during their time at SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA.

Das SİNEMAplural Fellowship Programme ist gefördert durch die DROSOS STIFTUNG.

Newly restored: La Haine OPEN AIR!

Thirty years after its release, Mathieu Kassovitz’s La Haine remains as urgent, furious, and devastating as ever. Set over twenty-four hours in the aftermath of a police shooting, the film follows three friends navigating the banlieues of Paris, where racism, police violence, and social exclusion shape everyday life.

Recently restored, this landmark of French cinema still burns with uncomfortable clarity, speaking not only to post-colonial France but to ongoing questions of state violence, inequality, and belonging across Europe today.

Join us on Saturday 18. July at 21:30 for a rare chance to experience this iconic film OPEN AIR!
