What happens when dreams begin to whisper back?
In the center of “Rehearsal Room”, Nicole L’Huillier’s installation “The Whisperers (Dream Sharing Choir)” invites visitors to a murmuring sound environment made up of four loudspeakers and whispering voices, conceived together with Manaswi Mishra .
The piece is based on a speech-based AI trained with whispers recorded by L’Huillier, as well as those of friends, family members, and collaborators. As visitors approach, the system responds: fragments of dream narratives begin to surface. These are drawn from an open-access dream reports database and reworked into layered voices that feel both distant and intimate at once.
Rather than telling a single story, the installation opens a space where listening becomes active, and where memory, technology, and collective dreaming overlap.
You are invited to experience it in person. “Rehearsal Room” runs until July 5, 2026.
