Kanya's Chance e.V. is an NGO based in Berlin working to increase access to female hygiene products in developing countries.

Access to sanitary napkins allows females to remain longer in school and thereby to live, learn and lead. While taken for granted in the western world, the use of sanitary napkins is rather an exception than rule for most of the women in India. We at Kanya’s Chance have therefore set ourselves the goal, to provide access to each girl and woman to sanitary napkins. The name of our initiative is for

med by combining the Sanskrit word for ‘girl’, Kanya, and Chance, indicating the potential that goes unfulfilled due to the shackles holding back the girls in India. This would be regardless of geographic, social or economic barriers. Vision:
Letting each and every girl achieve her full potential without menstrual bleeding being a hindrance. Mission:
Our mission is to provide access to sanitary napkins in schools for girls of Anand district, India. This would help the girls overcoming one of the most prominent hurdle to accessing education for girls in India. Specifically, we aim to provide at least 2 sanitary napkin packets (8 napkins per packet) every month for each and every school girl.

Another year has passed and we’re still here - still fighting for female empowerment! We’re happy that we are supporting 5500 schoolgirls in India with sanitary pads and education on the topic menstruation!! 🩸 💛

Many thanks to our supporters who once again collected empty cans and bottles at the medimeisterschaften 2025 - one of our biggest fundraising events! With your help we are able to support 6000 Indian schoolgirls with sanitary pads and education on the topic menstruation! 🩸
We were also able to talk about our mission and provide original chai for all the festivals visitors ☕️! We’re especially thankful for the work of Georg Maier, and .da.vid 💛
