Music Pool Berlin startete im Januar 2O14 als die zentrale Anlaufstelle für Musiker*innen in Berlin. Das Beratungs- und Qualifizierungsangebot von Akteuren aus der Musik-Szene soll Musikschaffenden Informationen, Weiterbildung und Netzwerkkontakte mit dem Ziel vermitteln, sich in der Musikwirtschaft erfolgreich zu etablieren.

Music Pool Berlin opened its doors in January 2O14 as a central

contact and information point for musicians living in Berlin. Our main goal is to offer information, networking possibilities and advanced training for the successful entry and professionalisation of musicians. We plan to do this through offering consultation and qualification courses carried out by protagonists and makers from the Berlin music scene and beyond. Das Projekt Music Pool Berlin wird gefördert aus Mitteln der Europäischen Union (Europäischer Sozialfonds) und des Musicboard Berlin. Zum Beispiel ein kostenloses Orientierungsgespräch mit einem Berater beziehungsweise einer Beraterin des Music Pool-Teams. In diesem Rahmen können allgemeine Fragen, wie beispielsweise die Aufnahmebedingungen in die Künstlersozialkasse oder eine Mitgliedschaft in der GEMA, behandelt werden. Darüber hinaus kann in dem Gespräch der weitere Beratungsbedarf gemeinsam ermittelt und geplant werden. Welche Themen deckt das Beratungsangebot ab? Die Grundidee des Pools ist es, die gesamte Musik-Expertise der Stadt in seine Beratungsarbeit einzubinden, also alle Experten vom Labelmanager über die Bookerin oder Juristin bis hin zum Marketing-Profi für die Musikschaffenden ansprechbar und deren Erfahrungen verfügbar zu machen. Zu diesem Zweck organisiert der Music Pool Berlin eigene Workshops oder Beratungstage zu bestimmten Themen-Komplexen, wie beispielsweise „Crowdfunding“ oder „Musik in Film und Werbung“ oder vermittelt an passende Weiterbildungsangebote in der Stadt.

This week we met at to talk about solidarity in music scenes and explore sustainable ways of collaboration.

After a panel discussion, we gathered in smaller groups to exchange experiences, share strategies, and imagine new ways of working together — from songwriting and production to touring, promotion, and community building. Thank you to everyone who participated!
