We continue. 🚀

Two events so far, two moments of reflection, analysis, and dialogue. 🗳️✨ On February 1st, we dove deep into the rise of far-right hegemony, alt-right and the alarming wave of anti-gender politics—discussing not only what is happening but what might happen next. We explored post-election scenarios, examining the micro and macro-level consequences of shifting political tides.

Yesterday, we built on that foundation. In our latest discussion, we turned our focus to the upcoming German federal elections and their significance for the community of Turkey-origin individuals in Germany. We dissected the voting process, electoral reforms, and possible outcomes. We scrutinized the political landscape, unpacking the policies of different parties—especially on migration and integration—and confronted the persistent challenges of racism in Germany .

Finally, we took a comparative lens, reflecting on voting patterns in Germany and Turkey, questioning how party politics shape electoral behavior and what this means for democratic participation.

A huge thank you to Ayşegül Ilgın, Victoria Yasemin Tümis (Güler) (Feb 1st) and Kenan Kolat (yesterday) for their insightful presentations, which laid the groundwork for these discussions, and to everyone who contributed. I had the pleasure of moderating these conversations—conversations that will continue. 💡

Because democracy is not an event. It’s a process. And we, Puduhepa e.V Talks will keep moving. 🔄
