bietet ein vielseitiges und anspruchsvolles Kulturprogramm mit Kunstausstellungen, Lesungen, Filmvorführungen und Konzerten im W***y-Brandt-Haus. Seit seiner Gründung 1996 hat er sich einen festen Platz in der Berliner Kulturlandschaft erobert und das W***y-Brandt-Haus zu einem viel besuchten und anerkannten Veranstaltungsort entwickelt.

Über das aktuelle Kulturprogramm hinaus verwaltet der Freundeskreis die „Sammlung im W***y-Brandt-Haus”.

Bennet Böckstiegel von der Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie wurde mit seiner Serie "Promise That" beim European Student Award der Sony World Photography Awards 2026 prämiert. Er fotografierte die Serie in Sitges, Spanien und kehrte viermal dorthin zurück, um das Thema „Zugehörigkeit” in der q***ren Community der Stadt zu erkunden. An einem Ort, der für Freiheit und Begierde bekannt ist, konzentrierte sich der Fotograf nicht auf Exzesse, sondern auf die stillen Bindungen zwischen Männern, auf Momente des Vertrauens, der Zärtlichkeit und der Zugehörigkeit. Mit einer Mittelformatkamera dokumentierte er, wie Fremde zueinanderfinden und deckte dabei eine gemeinsame Sehnsucht nach Intimität und Akzeptanz auf. Zu sehen bis 7. Bennet Böckstiegel from the Ostkreuz School of Photography was honoured at the 2026 Sony World Photography Awards’ European Student Award for his series “Promise That”. He shot the series in Sitges, Spain, and returned there four times to explore the theme of “belonging” within the town’s q***r community. In a place renowned for freedom and desire, the photographer focused not on excess, but on the quiet bonds between men – on moments of trust, tenderness and belonging. Using a medium-format camera, he documented how strangers find each other, revealing a shared longing for intimacy and acceptance. On display until 7 February 2027 at the W***y-Brandt-Haus.

Mit ihrer Serie "Stillgestanden (Attention!)" hat Teresa Halbreiter den neuen European Student Award der Sony World Photography Awards 2026 gewonnen. Die Serie beschäftigt sich mit der Suche nach Weiblichkeit und Individualität in der von Männern dominierten Institution der Bundeswehr. Tereasa Halbreiter begegnet Frauen, die versuchen, ihre eigene Rolle in diesem System zu definieren. Wie sieht das Leben als Soldatin wirklich aus? Teresa Halbreiter has won the new European Student Award at the 2026 Sony World Photography Awards for her series “Stillgestanden (Attention!)”. It’s done: the photographs from the 2026 Sony World Photography Awards are now on display on our walls. From Thursday 8 October 2026 at 7 pm, we warmly invite you to come and view them with us. There will also be a prize draw for fantastic prizes from Sony, open to all visitors. So it’s doubly worth popping in!

Wir bauen um! Diese Woche steht bei uns ganz im Zeichen des Ab- und Aufbaus. Da, wo zuletzt die Bilder des BERLINER KOFFERS hingen, wird jetzt ausgebessert und gestrichen. Ab 9.10. gibt es dann an der selben Stelle die Fotografien der Sony World Photography Awards 2026 zu sehen.

We’re refurbishing! This week is all about taking things down and putting back up. The area where the BERLINER KOFFER pictures were last displayed is now being repaired and repainted. From 9 October, the photographs from the 2026 Sony World Photography Awards will be on display in the same spot.

Vom 9.10.2026 – 7.02.2027 zeigt der Freundeskreis W***y-Brandt-Haus zusammen mit Sony Deutschland & Österreich die Fotografien der Sony World Photography Awards im W***y-Brandt-Haus. Bereits seit zwölf Jahren werden die herausragenden fotografischen Werke aus Genres und Kategorien wie Architektur & Design, Kreativ, Dokumentationsprojekte, Umwelt, Landschaft, Portfolio, Porträt, Sport, Stillleben sowie Wildtiere & Natur in der gleichnamigen Ausstellung präsentiert. From 9 October 2026 to 7 February 2027, the Freundeskreis W***y-Brandt-Haus, in collaboration with Sony Germany & Austria, will be exhibiting the photographs from the Sony World Photography Awards at the W***y Brandt House. For the past twelve years, outstanding photographic works from genres and categories such as Architecture & Design, Creative, Documentary Projects, Environment, Landscape, Portfolio, Portrait, Sport, Still Life and Wildlife & Nature have been presented in the exhibition of the same name. Alongside the winning images from the Professional and Open competitions, this year’s exhibition will also feature photographs from the new European Student Awards.

Der BFF-FÖRDERPREIS präsentiert herausragende Arbeiten von Nachwuchsfotograf:innen, die mit ihren kreativen und reflektierten Perspektiven überzeugen.

EIN BERLINER KOFFER zeigt Fotografien von Fide Struck, die den Berliner Alltag der 1920er und 1930er Jahre dokumentieren. Die sorgfältig bewahrten Aufnahmen bieten einen einzigartigen Einblick in das historische Berlin. Bitte beachten Sie, dass diese Ausstellung am Samstag leider geschlossen bleibt.

The BFF Sponsorship Award showcases outstanding work by emerging photographers whose creative and thoughtful perspectives are truly compelling.

A BERLIN SUITCASE features photographs by Fide Struck documenting everyday life in Berlin in the 1920s and 1930s. These carefully preserved images offer a unique insight into Berlin’s history. Please note that this exhibition will unfortunately be closed on Saturday.
