Loesje Berlin

Loesje Berlin Loesje Berlin is a podium for ideas and creativity for both the local community of Berlin, Germany and people from all over the world.

Loesje is simultaneously a world wide collective of people who want to make the world a more positive creative place; and a girl from the Netherlands. The local Loesje groups write and spread posters signed by the girl Loesje, with texts about everything that happens in society.

We are proud to have contributed to Building Boundaries and Breaking Taboos: Empowering Tools for Sexual Education, an international Erasmus+ project that brought together youth workers, educators, and facilitators from across Europe to explore how we can create safer, more inclusive, and more empowering conversations about sexuality.

The result is a practical toolkit full of non-formal education activities on consent, boundaries, menstruation, STI awareness, safety, and respectful dialogue.

What happens to journalism and everyday communication when governments cut the internet? In Iran, journalists and ordinary people are living through the longest internet blackout in history.
If care is not taken, this could be a new normal, not just in Iran, but in other countries. So how can journalists and other citizens fight back with technology?

World Press Freedom Day takes place every year on 3rd of May. It reminds us that free media and freedom of expression are important for all people.

Guests:
Shola Lawal is a freelance journalist covering everything from conflict to culture. She is regularly published in Al Jazeera, The Continent, and several others.

Menstrual health is not a privilege. It’s education. It’s equality. It’s a human right. During our workshops, the participants explored menstrual experiences through photography, performance, and visual storytelling. Art became a language for things that are often hidden, misunderstood, or simply not talked about.

By creating together, we questioned stigma, shared personal perspectives, and turned silence into expression.
