Today marks Malala Day!

The birthday of Malala Yousafzai, who survived an assassination attempt for daring to demand an education, and went on to become the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate in history.

Since 2013, the UN has marked July 12th in her name, a reminder that access to education is still a fight for millions of girls worldwide.

We believe every young person regardless of gender, background, or geography deserves the chance to learn, grow, and shape their future 📚

Today we remember the victims of the Srebrenica genocide: Europe’s first genocide since World War Two

On July 11th, 1995, over 8,000 Muslim men and boys were killed in Srebrenica, a town that had been designated a UN safe zone. The genocide has been legally recognized as such by both the ICTY and the International Court of Justice

More than 30 years later, many families remain displaced, and some of the victims have still not been identified. The genocide is also still being denied by some political figures today

Together we say: never again.
