✨ Spotlight on Eliot Worrell: First Recipient of the Dorothea Langhammer Scholarship! ✨

At the TANZ Foundation’s benefit ballet workshop on November 16, 2025, something truly special happened. Eliot Worrell, normally behind the scenes as stage manager, was called into the spotlight—this time as a celebrated recipient!

Sabrina Sadowska, Chairwoman and founder of the TANZ Foundation, proudly awarded Eliot with the inaugural Dorothea Langhammer Scholarship. This new scholarship honors the legacy of Dorothea Langhammer, a devoted friend of the Hamburg Ballet and supporter of the TANZ Foundation.

Eliot’s journey is a remarkable story of artistry and transition: From performing in the Hamburg Ballet’s corps de ballet for over a decade, gracing stages worldwide in John Neumeier’s iconic choreographies, to embracing his passion for stage production behind the scenes. Since retiring from dance, Eliot has skillfully merged his deep artistic knowledge with stage management expertise, now leading as the Hamburg Ballet’s stage manager this season.

The TANZ Foundation supports dancers at every stage—from training through career transitions—empowering them with guidance, resources, and financial help to thrive beyond the spotlight. By honoring artists like Eliot, the Foundation champions the vibrant future of dance in Germany.
