Es hat eine Weile gedauert, bis die Buttonmaschine lief, aber jetzt sind wir nicht mehr zu stoppen! Kommt zur nächsten Aktion von „Street Unit Berlin“ und gestaltet Buttons, Stickers, Aufnäher und Plakate für mehr Solidarität und Empathie in unserer Stadt!

Wir sind am 26. und 27. August ab 11 Uhr im „Unterschlupf“ und am 27. August ab 18 Uhr im Vollguter Gemeinschaftsgarten anzutreffen.

Außerdem bereiten wir visuelle Materialien für die Demo gegen den Mietenwahnsinn am 5. September und den Tag der Wohnungslosen am 11. September vor: bringt also gerne eure Slogans und Botschaften mit!

It took us some time to make the button machine work, but now we can't stop it!

Join us at the next street unit berlin action and design some pins, stickers, patches and posters for more solidarity and empathy in our city!

We will be in the Unterschlupf on the 26 and 27.08 from 11am and in the Vollguter Gemeinscjaftsgarten on the 27.08 from 6pm.

We will also prepare visual materials for the Mietenwahnsinn Demo on the 5.9 and the Day for Homeless people on the 11.9, so come with your slogans and messages!

Project Class in the Street // Creative and Educational Actions for Flintas affected by homelessness

Our small street unit Team Berlin continues its work around our project “Class in the Street” (supported by the Erasmus-programm of the European Union) quietly but steadily. Despite the summer heat, we created beautiful postcards together with the Flintas from the homeless day shelter Unterschlupf, and we are now expanding our activities to support their voices being heard in the upcoming local elections.

Unterschlupf, a vital place for Flintas experiencing homelessness, is under constant threat. Due to the owner’s demolition plans, the rental agreement is only ever extended for short periods, leaving the future of this essential space uncertain.

As part of our collaboration with Unterschlupf, we are joining their campaign and will take part in several upcoming actions:

Day for Homeless People at Vollgut Community Garden
For the Mietenwahnsinn Demo and the Day for Homeless People, we are looking for volunteers who would like to support us. We will bring giant flags, giant masks and other of our hand made creations in the street to rise our voices against forced displacements and marginalization. As well if you have donations like phones, sleeping equipment, socks and powerbanks, we are taking those to distribute on the 11.09.

Street Unit Berlin meets Tagestreff Unterschlupf

Unsere kleine Street Unit, die in Berlin kreative Bildungsangebote für FLINTA* Personen, die von Obdachlosigkeit betroffen sind, anbietet, geht weiter! Nachdem wir unserem DYI mobiles Kino am Sonntag ins Laufen gebracht haben, wollen wir monatlich Filme zum Thema Wohnen im öffentlichen Raum zeigen. Vorschläge für Orte sind Willkommen!

Darüber hinaus sind unsere Ladies fleißig im Tagestreff „Unterschlupf e.V.“ am Werkeln: Wir machen Linoldrucke, schreiben Briefe an Politiker*innen und tauschen uns über wichtige Fragen aus, die unseren Alltag prägen.

Wir freuen uns sehr, auch am 26.06. beim Nachbarschaftsfest des Unterschlupfs mit kreativen Aktionen präsent zu sein!

Project Class in the Street
Street Unit Berlin meets Unterschlupf e.V.
Our small Street Unit in Berlin, offering creative educational spaces for FLINTA* people experiencing homelessness, continues its journey.
After successfully launching our DIY mobile cinema this Sunday, we are now planning to screen monthly films around the theme of housing and life in public space. We warmly welcome suggestions for locations!
In addition, our participants are actively working at the day center “Unterschlupf”: we are creating linocut prints, writing letters to politicians, and exchanging ideas about the key questions that shape our everyday lives.
We are also very happy to be part of the neighborhood festival at Unterschlupf on 26 June, where we will contribute with creative actions and activities.

Die Street Unit Berlin des Projekts „Class in the Street“ lädt zur Filmvorführung ein!

Diesmal beschäftigen wir uns anhand von Agnès Vardas Film Vagabond (Sans toit ni loi, dt. Vogelfrei) mit dem Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Freiheitsbedürfnis und sozialer Isolation. Mit Blick auf die besonderen Gefahren, denen Frauen ohne sicheren Wohnraum ausgesetzt sind, möchten wir mit dieser Vorführung zugleich eine Mlglichkeit für Austausch über Schutzräume im öffentlichen Raum eröffnen.

Ab dem 1. Juni sollen verstärkte Maßnahmen gegen von Obdachlosigkeit betroffene Menschen im öffentlichen Nahverkehr umgesetzt werden. Was bedeutet das für Menschen, die ohnehin nur schwer Schutz und sichere Orte finden können?
Wir treffen uns um 20:30 Uhr am Zuhause Kiosk beim Kindl-Gelände.

Synopsis:
Die junge Mona wird tot in einem Straßengraben gefunden. In Rückblenden und durch die Aussagen der Menschen, denen sie begegnet ist, rekonstruiert der Film ihren letzten Winter. Allein zieht sie durch die ländliche Weinregion Südfrankreichs, lebt vom Trampen, schläft im Zelt und hält sich mit Gelegenheitsarbeiten über Wasser, während sie sich gesellschaftlichen Erwartungen verweigert. Mit zunehmender Isolation und Erschöpfung beobachten die Menschen um sie herum ihren Verfall, ohne sie wirklich zu verstehen oder ihr zu helfen.
