IPB - International Peace Bureau

IPB - International Peace Bureau www.ipb.org IPB’s mission is to create a world without war and with a positive peace, in which conflicts are resolved by non-military and non-violent means.

The International Peace Bureau (IPB) is the world’s oldest and largest international peace network – founded in 1891, IPB won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1910 for acting "as a link between the peace societies of the various countries". We underline the interconnections between peace and climate change, human rights, gender and racial equality, economic equality, and good governance. Our network oppos

es militarism and the increasingly concerning arms race and promotes alternative understandings of security based around diplomacy, dialogue, and cooperation.

✊ Welfare not Warfare! 14th of June we take the streets for peace and justice!

Sunday, June 14, 3:00 p.m., Brussels North.

joins forces with .be, in a march for prosperity, against war!

We call on everyone who stands for peace and social justice to join the European demonstration in Brussels on June 14 to advocate for investments in people, not in war.

- For peace and security – invest in health, education, decent jobs, climate transition and social protection, not in weapons and the militarization of society.
- For respect for international law – uphold the UN Charter and safeguard the dignity of all people, protect human rights and labor rights, promote social and climate justice.
- For social dialogue and diplomacy – bring people and countries together, instead of driving them apart.
- For investment in international solidarity and cooperation – sustainable development is the best guarantee for a safe and stable society, and therefore for conflict prevention.
- For disarmament – arms control and nuclear disarmament to ensure peace and security

Join us for a Europe of peace and solidarity. SAVE THE DATE: 14/06, 15h, Brussels.

“NATO is structurally shifting to a denser networked structure. NATO in this phase will be neither North Atlantic or Asian but with overlapping networks and distributed power, financial and production centres, where nodes like Japan, Australia, RO Korea, and others provide interoperability. Yet China, Russia and others have counter-dispersed strategies also in the making.”

In a dark world of wars and shifting geopolitical alignments, the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty is needed more than even some state parties may realize.
