🚀 TecnoGuard Academy has officially started!

In December 2025, ARKTIC e.V. hosted the kick-off meeting of the TecnoGuard Academy project in Nuremberg, Germany, together with our partner from Poland.

TecnoGuard Academy is an Erasmus+ KA210-ADU project focused on strengthening digital skills, cybersecurity awareness, online safety, and data protection in adult education.

Through this project, we aim to support adult educators, trainers, professionals working with adult learners, and the wider adult population in using digital technologies more safely and confidently.

During the project, we will implement focus groups, surveys, best practice collection, an international training course, and develop practical educational materials, including the TecnoGuard Academy working book.

The project is co-funded by the European Union. 🇪🇺

Stay tuned for our upcoming surveys, activities, and project updates!

ERASMUS + YOUTH EXCHANGE PIXELS OF MIND: AI, MEDIA AND MENTAL HEALTH 🇧🇪

This international youth exchange offers a practical learning space to explore how AI-driven platforms, social media, and digital games influence young people’s thinking and well-being, while developing innovative and inclusive educational responses to challenges such as misinformation and digital pressure.
The programme is highly hands-on. Each participant will present one or two animation tools, educational tools, or games that can be used in youth work to address AI, media literacy, or mental health topics. Together we will test these tools, share good practices, and co-create adaptable activities for our local contexts

The project aim to:
build critical thinking and digital awareness through workshops that teach source checks, claim tracing, and recognition of common tricks, while showing how algorithms shape feeds and how to diversify inputs and slow down before sharing.
strengthen communication and social skills through active, non-formal methods that build trust, support honest self-expression, and enable peer learning across cultures.
promote personal well-being by forming health digital habits by teaching simple tools such as breathing drills, time boxing, and notification settings, together with regular, facilitated meetings that offer safe dialogue, early warning signs, and local maps of support.
foster social cohesion and intercultural understanding by working on shared issues that
connect participants across borders and backgrounds and by building a concrete sense of a common European community.

This project is based on a simple but firm idea: sustainability and critical thinking must be learned and practiced.
Its main goal is to empower youth workers to become agents of change who inspire young people to act as ambassadors of science and sustainability in their communities.
By using science as an accessible and universal language, the project brings scientific knowledge closer to young people and turns it into action through Citizen Science and non-formal learning.
The project also tackles digital disinformation by strengthening critical thinking skills and helping young people identify and challenge fake news and conspiracy theories.

Through intercultural cooperation and active participation, it promotes European values, global citizenship, and youth involvement in decision-making processes, preparing young people to contribute to a more sustainable, informed, and inclusive future.

From 19–28 September in Ventspils, Latvia, 32 participants from Latvia, Germany, Spain, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Poland, Italy, and Hungary came together for the training course “Beyond Walls: Outdoor Journeys to Mental Balance.”
During 10 inspiring days, participants explored how outdoor adventure education enhanced well-being, built resilience, and reconnected young people with nature and with each other.
The project strengthened practical competences in outdoor learning, safety, trip planning, and emotional intelligence—equipping youth workers with tools they could immediately apply in their daily work. 🌲✨
The project was organized and hosted by Nodibinājums Apvienotai Latvijai (NAL) within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ Programme and supported by the Jaunatnes starptautisko programmu aģentūra (JSPA) – the National Agency responsible for the implementation of Erasmus+ in Latvia. Through this initiative, youth workers from different European countries had the opportunity to strengthen their competences, exchange good practices, and develop innovative approaches for working with young people.
