🏳️‍🌈 Pride Month is often seen as a time of celebration.

But for many LGBTIQ+ people — especially refugees, migrants, and those coming from unsafe countries — Pride is also a reminder of what is still at stake.

The right to safety.
The right to protection.
The right to live without violence.
The right to seek asylum.
The right to be treated with dignity.

Behind every rainbow flag, there are people whose lives have been shaped by persecution, displacement, discrimination, and the struggle to be recognized.

Pride is not only about visibility.
It is about responsibility.

Governments, institutions, and communities must ensure that LGBTIQ+ people are not only celebrated once a year, but protected every day.

Because dignity cannot be seasonal.
Human rights cannot be optional.

Starting June 12, 2026, new rules under the GEAS/CEAS asylum system will take effect in the EU.

One of the most concerning aspects is the expedited processing of applications from citizens of countries where the rate of positive decisions on international protection is 20% or less.

For Russian citizens, this risk is very real.

But it is important to understand: this does not mean automatic rejection. Each case must still be considered individually. However, applicants may have less time to prepare, gather evidence, find a lawyer, and properly present their story.

This is especially important for LGBTQI+ people, anti-war activists, journalists, human rights defenders, conscientious objectors, and people facing criminal prosecution.

Do not file an application in a panic.
Do not file an application “just in case.”
First, assess the risks, gather evidence, and seek individual legal advice.

Asylum is not just a way to stay in Europe.
It is a procedure to protect you from persecution.

What matters most right now is not fear, but strategy.

С 12 июня 2026 года в ЕС начинают применяться новые правила системы убежища GEAS / CEAS.

Один из самых тревожных элементов — ускоренное рассмотрение заявлений от граждан стран, по которым процент положительных решений о международной защите составляет 20% или ниже.

Для граждан России этот риск реален.

Но важно понимать: это не означает автоматический отказ. Каждое дело всё равно должно рассматриваться индивидуально. Однако у заявителей может стать меньше времени на подготовку, сбор доказательств, поиск адвоката и корректное представление своей истории.

Особенно это важно для ЛГБТИК+ людей, антивоенных активистов, журналистов, правозащитников, отказников от войны и людей с риском уголовного преследования.

Не подавайтесь из паники.
Не подавайтесь “на всякий случай”.
Сначала проверьте риски, соберите доказательства и получите индивидуальную юридическую консультацию.

Убежище — это не просто способ остаться в Европе.
Это процедура защиты от преследования.

When a Date Turns Dangerous

If you have experienced violence, threats, blackmail, robbery, digital intrusion, or anti-LGBTQ+ humiliation after a date:
It is not your fault.

Going on a date does not mean consenting to violence.
Trust is not a weakness.
Intimacy, s*x, love, or human contact are not reasons to blame yourself.
