LUCKY TRIMMER is a festival for short dance & performance works, spotlighting both emerging and established performing artists presenting works with a length of 10 minutes maximum. Since its inception in 2004, LUCKY TRIMMER has distinguished itself among the Berlin art scene with its unique concept and philosophy. s than 10 minutes each), we serve as an innovation radar presenting new artistic trends and an exciting insight into the many facets of the contemporary dance landscape. In cooperation with SOPHIENSAELE, we provide emerging and established artists with a regular platform to showcase their most original ideas. With contemporary dance and its wide aesthetic spectrum as our primal inspiration, we consciously cross the boundaries of genres breaking down barriers between dance, theater, performance, music, installation, acrobatics and others performative disciplines. The intentional juxtaposition and seemingly naive concatenation of short and diversified works create an atmosphere of artistic freedom underlain by the concept of the "Child Mind" (a lack of fear and expectation, the ability to lose one's self in the creative process, learning through explorative playfulness). We inject wonder, humor and risk-taking into our attitude, benefiting both the artists and audience with new visions of possibility in a casual, cabaret-like atmosphere. This defines the LUCKY TRIMMER trademark.
