LEAP LEAP Contemporary Art Foundation promotes museum work on a national and international level.

It bridges the gap between private patronage on the one hand and public cultural institutions, museums, and artists on the other.

LEAP FUNDING SEASON OCTOBER 2026 – SEPTEMBER 2027

The LEAP Open Call for the upcoming season October 2026 – September 2027 closed on 15 March.

We received 43 funding applications that meet our guidelines.

The Board of Trustees now faces the difficult task of compiling a shortlist by Easter from all these applications, which are all worthy of funding, with the final decision to be voted on 18 May 2026.

It remains exciting. We will keep you updated.

The 12 intensive days were filled with a wide variety of formative experiences. Never before have we had such intense, often controversial conversations on a trip, both with each other and with the people we met on the ground, which absolutely speaks to the deep need of our patrons to seriously engage with the conditions under which relevant art is created. This is precisely the result that makes our trips so extraordinary. Travelling with this circle of interested people is a great delight. I think that the photos we will be sharing with you this week will reflect this atmosphere well. If you would like to join us soon, please write to me at [email protected]

We continue today with part 3 of our 3-part review from Qatar. Be aware of the next destinations Riyadh and AlUla.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in organizing the trip. Particularly noteworthy are:
Karen Boros, Boros Collection + Art Basel; Christian van de Sand; Thomas Schneider, Hasenkamp; Seraina Sacher; Carl Hohrath; Victoria Lelandais

Travelling with our Patrons is a core part of LEAP, allowing us to engage with art in a shared, immersive way. Our journeys, meeting artists, exploring new places, and building connections are what set us apart.
