We solemnly conclude the 8th Rohingya Genocide Remembrance Day 2025 in Berlin with deepest gratitude to all form of survivors, speakers, and guests who stood with us. We remember every Rohingya who lost their life since day one-at the hands of the Myanmar military and its government , the Arakan Army, in the sea, in the mountains, and by third parties. Their memory strengthens our resolve: we will fight till the end for justice, freedom and homeland.

With this note, we would like to share the upcoming event on the 8th Anniversary of 𝗥𝗼𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘆𝗮 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 in Berlin.

On 25th August, we will join our brothers and sisters in honoring Rohingya Remembrance Day: a time to remember the lives lost, stand with survivors, and reaffirm the call for justice and dignity for the Rohingya people.

Mit dieser Nachricht möchten wir die bevorstehende Veranstaltung zum 8. Jahrestag 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗸𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗩𝗼̈𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘆𝗮 in Berlin teilen.

Am 25. August werden wir uns mit unseren Brüdern und Schwestern zusammenschließen, um den Rohingya-Gedenktag zu begehen: ein Tag, um der verlorenen Leben zu gedenken, an der Seite der Überlebenden zu stehen und den Aufruf nach Gerechtigkeit und Würde für das Rohingya-Volk zu bekräftigen.

- Zeugnisse von Rohingya-Überlebenden und Mitgliedern der Gemeinschaft

- Reflexionen von Menschenrechtsverteidiger:innen und politischen Entscheidungsträger:innen

First of all, thank you to every one of you who contributed to the fundraising effort.

We, the Rohingya Community in Germany, have raised a total of €1,562 for humanitarian aid. So far, we have sent €1,519 (equivalent to 6,952,583 MMK) for distributions in Arakan. The remaining €43 will be sent as soon as it is credited to the account.

Every single contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Together, we are creating hope.

Urgent Appeal for Humanitarian Aid for Rohingya in Arakan

The Rohingya Community in Germany is urgently raising funds to support the vulnerable Rohingya in Arakan, who are trapped between two oppressors and enduring life-threatening conditions. They have no access to food, medical care, or even land to grow their own sustenance. Despite months of appeals to individuals and humanitarian organizations, no meaningful aid has reached our people, leaving them in unimaginable hardship.

This is a call for compassion and action. We ask that you view this appeal with an open heart. We are committed to full transparency, providing proof of every euro raised, no matter the amount.

A delegation representing the Rohingya community in Germany met with Brot für die Welt(Bread for the World) and discussed the ongoing humanitarian disaster affecting the Rohingya in Rakhine State, Myanmar.

During the meeting, the delegation underscored the severity of the disaster and appealed for humanitarian assistance.

A delegation representing the Rohingya community in Germany met with officials from the German Federal Foreign Ministry to highlight the ongoing violence and challenges faced by the Rohingya.

The Rohingya representatives expressed their concerns over the continuing violence and displacement and called for Germany’s active role in addressing these issues on the global stage. They also urged Germany to condemn the Arakan Insurgent Group (Arakan Army) and to take necessary action through the European Union.

The Rohingya community in Germany, in collaboration with Stiftung Asienhaus, is organizing a protest in front of the German Foreign Office in Berlin. We invite you to join us in demanding justice for the Rohingya people.

August 25, 2024, marks the 7th anniversary of the Rohingya genocide. For 7 years, the Rohingya have faced unimaginable suffering, forced to live in camps without justice or the chance to return home.

The recent violence against innocent Rohingya civilians in Maungdaw and Buthidaung by the AA and the Myanmar military is yet another horrific chapter in this ongoing genocide.
