Fantasy Fiction Presents:

Saturns Drive and Mlin Patz + Fantasy Fiction DJs.

Excited for one more round at Loophole with our friends from the cosmos Saturns Drive and our friend in surfy dubs Mlin Platz! 🪘👽🛸🌱🪐

Saturns Drive

Saturns Drive is the project of Berlin based New Zealand producer and Fantasy Fiction Records co-founder Elfy. Taking influence from retro sci-fi and fantasy noir themes the sound sets its sights on cosmic disco, vampy Italo grooves and arpy electronics. On stage the band features members of The Tarts, Pink & White Terraces and Jaakko Eino Kalevi's live group. Their set utilises spacey drum machines, synthesisers and electric guitars to draw in and beam out something akin to Andrew Weatherall’s lost remixes or the better B side from that off kilter disco 7inch edit you love to dance to at half speed. Saturns Drive has featured on Rio records track Parallel Panorama by Seako Killy and tracks can already be found on mixes by Andé Pahl and Alicia Carrera. A full length album will be out early this year through Lio Press Records with announcements coming very soon.

Mlin Platz

Mlin Patz is a solo project of Chilliera band member Polina Matskevych (electric guitar), an outlet for her experiments with sound collages, field recordings and dub sound — all accompanied by a warm southern guitar sound. Her E.P Sunlimit was released on her native Ukraine's Muscut Records. Muscut also released the ultra dub surf cuts from Chillera Pro Fun and Schax.
