In Zeiten, in denen Menschen mit Regierungsverantwortung ihre Macht missbrauchen, sich zu ihrem eigenen Vorteil nehmen, was sie wollen und sich nicht mehr an Gesetze und Vereinbarungen halten, nimmt das Gefühl von eigener Hilflosigkeit und Ohnmacht zu.
„Ich bin nicht allmächtig.
Ich bin nicht ohnmächtig.
Ich bin partiell mächtig.“
Mit diesem Zitat stärkt Ruth C. Cohn einmal mehr die eigene Handlungsfähigkeit.
Wir können als Einzelne nicht die Welt retten, aber wir müssen auch nicht resignieren und alles hinnehmen. In unserem eigenen Umfeld können wir wirksam werden, indem wir das, was uns wichtig ist, leben und nach außen vertreten.

In times when those in positions of government abuse their power, take whatever they want for their own benefit, and no longer abide by laws and agreements, the sense of one’s own helplessness and powerlessness grows.

As individuals, we cannot save the world, but neither must we resign ourselves to accepting everything. We can make a difference in our own circles by living out what is important to us and advocating for it to the outside world.
