On 9 August 1956, thousands of women marched together in South Africa against the apartheid pass laws. Different backgrounds, different communities, one collective voice. ✊🏾🌍
That spirit of women, courage, community and togetherness is what we’re bringing to Berlin today.

Introducing Ubuntu Boyz.

More than DJs, they're cultural storytellers, bringing the spirit of Ubuntu — "I am because we are" — to every dancefloor. 🎧 Introducing Jiun 🌿✨

We're excited to welcome Jiun to the Open Air Braai & Chill – Women's Day Edition! 💜☀️

Originally from Borneo, an island known for its dense jungles and vibrant energy, Jiun brings that same raw spirit behind the decks. 🌍

Her musical journey began in Cape Town, where she fell in love with the unmistakable sound of Gqom. Since then, she's crafted a sound that blends Gqom, Jungle, Footwork, and bass-heavy rhythms into an energetic and deeply soulful experience. 🥁⚡

Now based in Berlin, Jiun has performed at OXI and OHM, while also sharing her more soulful selections on Cashmere Radio and Refuge Worldwide. For her, music is like food 🍽️❤️—it's meant to be shared and to bring people together.

For the past five years, we've been incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by amazing women who have helped shape our journey.

From the very first Braai & Chill, to the unforgettable Backyard Events, to the Black Future Frequency Festival at Sage Beach—your energy has always been part of what makes our community so special.

These photos are more than just moments from past events. They tell the story of the incredible women who have stood with us every step of the way. The DJs who kept us dancing, the MCs and hosts who brought every event to life, the dancers, creatives, vendors, and every woman who showed up, supported us, and helped build this beautiful community.
