Frach at the Feel Festival: Solidarity and Information Stand

Over the weekend of 23–26 July 2026, we had the opportunity to set up and run a solidarity and information stand at the Feel Festival.

Many thanks to the Feel Festival for this opportunity!

We spoke to lots of people and were able to provide information and raise awareness about our collective, as well as the situation people on the move are facing along the so-called Balkan Route and at the EU’s external borders.

At the same time, we made new contacts, made plans together and collected donations.

What happens to the money raised?
A portion of the monetary donations goes directly towards an upcoming shipment of in-kind donations, which we will use this autumn to send winter clothing to our friends at Kompas071 in Sarajevo.

A shipment like this incurs quite a lot of costs, such as customs duties or the cost of hiring an external haulage company for the transport. Your donations help us to plan this shipment with financial certainty.

We pass on the remaining donations to other solidarity-based No-Border groups along the so-called Balkan Route.

Would you like to help us transport donations?
If you’d like to get involved – either as an individual or with your group – by organising your own collection of donations in kind or cash, please get in touch and we’ll sort out the details with you. For cash donations, please check out our website. We’d be delighted to have your support!

Let’s fight together for freedom of movement for everyone and against the isolation of Fortress Europe!

Support people on the move! Fight for freedom of movement!

Germany Joins the Lead in EU Hostility Toward Asylum Seekers

This week, EU member states and the European Parliament agreed to a massive tightening of deportation rules within the EU. From now on, detention centers will also be permitted in countries that are neither part of the EU nor have any connection to migrants or refugees. In effect, this creates prisons on foreign soil, funded by the EU and its member states. This regulation makes fleeing even more dangerous and inhumane than it already has been for years—the next massive tightening of asylum laws following the so-called CEAS reform, whose rules will take effect in June 2026. Those seeking protection are treated like serious criminals. Conservatives are allying themselves with the far right and believe this will somehow make things better. As experts point out, such a shift was unthinkable just a few years ago. On multiple occasions, camps in third countries have been overturned through legal or political means. The fact that the German federal government, of all entities, under its CSU Interior Minister Dobrindt, is now positioning itself at the forefront of the extremely anti-migration movement in Europe will not win it any new votes, but will further deepen its moral bankruptcy. The right to asylum is as unconditional as the right to free movement! Stop its erosion!

💸 THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS 💸

Last November and December we collected donations together with our friends from Kompas 071 from Sarajevo. With your help, we raised over 9,500 euros in less than two months. Thank you so much for your trust!

Kompas 071 remains a vital point of contact for people on the move (POM) along the so-called Balkan route. Whilst the EU continues to close itself off and now officially plans to set up detention camps at its external borders, places of solidarity such as Kompas 071 in Sarajevo remain essential for POM.

Kompas 071 is a central project of our work, which we will continue to support with the money raised. Thanks to your donations, we can for example buy clothes, shoes, bagpacks and hygiene items for POM, or fund a donation transport to Sarajevo.

At the same time, we are delighted to be building new connections and maintaining old ones through our fundraising campaigns. We’ve had many wonderful encounters with you, such as at our solidarity event in Berlin. Thank you to all the groups and individuals who support us and Kompas071!

Thanks to , the Lohmühle, , , the , the steadfast people in Tübingen and Berlin who helped us with the T-shirts, and to everyone else who always pitches in when there’s work to be done!

We will continue to fight for freedom of choice and freedom of movement. Help us in this. Support Kompas 071 and all people on the move!

Many thanks to everyone who attended our charity event for on December 6 at the Lohmühle in Berlin! With screen printing, mulled wine, crêpes, and handmade merchandise, we were able to collect several hundred euros in donations, which will go entirely to Kompas in Sarajevo. Together, we watched a short film about the conditions for people on the move in northern Bosnia-Herzegovina. Our friends from Kompas provided an up-to-date insight into the situation on the Balkan route and the challenges of the coming years. A huge thank you to and for their strong musical support! Thank you to the Lohmühle for their years of steadfast support for our work. and will continue to support Kompas. Thank you for never leaving us alone in this

Jeder Euro hilft. 💝

———

This week, our partner organisation celebrated its 5th birthday!

Instead of cake and presents, they have only one wish: to continue supporting people who have been forced to flee their homes!

And to do that, they simply need money to provide the help. Even small amounts can make a huge difference. So if you’d like to contribute something meaningful for their birthday, check out the fundraising campaign in our bio.

Every donation counts. Every pound helps. 💝

For over ten years, Bosnia and Herzegovina has been a central part of refugee routes through the so-called Balkan region. Since 2018 alone, hundreds of thousands of people have traveled through Bosnia and Herzegovina as people on the move.

They risk their lives to escape war, persecution, poverty, the consequences of climate change, and other dangers, often with the goal of finding protection in an EU country and building a new life.

By 2019 and 2020 at the latest, Sarajevo had become a central transit hub—in the midst of a worsening humanitarian crisis triggered by the EU’s isolationist policies and a lack of support structures in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
