Our first season has come to an end! 🥳
9 fully sold-out concerts and more than 30 incredible musicians joined us along the way — thank you all for making this journey so meaningful❤️

What a way to end the season!💥
Our final concert I, AI was an evening full of experiments and new perspectives.🤓 AI expert Carsten Ullrich gave an introduction to artificial intelligence, followed by a comparison between AI-generated music and a piece composed by a human.

Meet the Artist | Gordon Lau

, a violist from Hong Kong, has been studying with Prof. Tabea Zimmermann since 2017. An accomplished chamber musician, he has worked with renowned teachers such as Eberhard Feltz and the Artemis Quartet, and has performed alongside artists including Christian Tetzlaff, Antje Weithaas, Torleif Thedéen, and Daniel Hope.

As an orchestral musician, he has played with the Berlin Philharmonic and has served as principal violist with the Kammerakademie Potsdam and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra. He has appeared at festivals such as Spannungen Heimbach, the Seiji Ozawa Academy, and the Gstaad Menuhin Festival. A Villa Musica scholarship holder since 2019, Gordon received the “Star of Villa Musica 2023” award.

Meet the Artist | Alexander Won-Ho Kim

studied at the Hochschule für Musik Münster with Helge Slaatto, at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Zakhar Bron, at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler with Antje Weithaas, and at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (Sion department) with Janine Jansen. He has performed as a soloist with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Philharmonia of the Nations, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, and the Munich Chamber Orchestra. Alexander has appeared at the Rheingau Musik Festival, the Sion Festival, the Vevey Spring Festival, the Grachtenfestival Amsterdam, and the International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht. He is a laureate of the Max Rostal International Violin Competition, the Tonali Grand Prix, and the Berlingske Tidende International Youth Music Competition.
