RGV German Club

Our 501c3 nonprofit org shares German culture and language with the UTRGV community and the RGV.

The purpose of the RGV German Club is to educate and inform students of German culture and language, to share German culture and language with the Rio Grande Valley, and to support deserving students who desire to study in a German-speaking country through a scholarship program. The RGV German Club is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.

Week 5 Recap 🇩🇪✨

Our final week abroad took us to the breathtaking Berchtesgaden Alps. We kicked things off at Hintersee in Ramsau, where we hiked through stunning mountain scenery and enjoyed a fun afternoon out on pedal boats 🚣‍♀️⛰️.

The adventure continued with a boat trip across the crystal clear waters of Königssee, leading us to the Obersee hike, complete with postcard perfect views and even some friendly cows along the way!!🐄.

We also explored Marktschellenberg, hiking through the impressive Almbachklamm gorge. After the challenging hike, a dip at the local Freibad was the perfect way to cool down 🏊‍♂️☀️. Midweek we crossed into Austria for a day in Salzburg 🇦🇹, where our group led tour brought us to iconic sites like Mozart’s Geburtshaus and the towering Hohensalzburg Fortress 🎶🏰.

Before wrapping up our trip, we spent one last day in Munich, exploring the city one final time and soaking in the Bavarian atmosphere 🍻. On Friday, we said our goodbyes to Arno and made our journey back home ✈️.

Five unforgettable weeks, countless memories! Auf Wiedersehen, Deutschland! Danke für alles! 🇩🇪✨
