Nigerian Scholars In Germany

Nigerian Scholars In Germany Welcome to the internet presence of the Nigerian Scholars in Germany with the acronym NiSIG. To facilitate and support communication amongst Nigerian scholars.

NiSIG, a non-profit and non-political organization founded in Hannover in 2013, was born following the increasing numbers of Nigerian Scholars and the need to form a common course for our welfare and success in our scholastic sojourn here. Additionally, to create the pedestal that will help facilitate our contributions to the growth and development of our country Nigeria, as well as Germany. One o

f our goals is to help and assist incoming scholars to properly acclimatize and integrate with ease into their newly found German Society. Towards meeting our aims and objectives, we shall also from time to time where necessary, engage with relevant independent organizations. Furthermore, we shall be organizing in the future, series of events that will foster the continuous growth of this noble association. The aims and objectives shall be pursued without regard to age, race, ethnicity, gender, disability, religion or creed, independent of any political party or religious body in Nigeria, Germany or any part of the globe. To serve the interests of the Nigerian Scholars in Germany, enriching their academic lives and living experience through social, cultural and academic seminars, workshop and other related Activities. To portray and promote Nigerian image, culture and its heritage in Germany and other parts of the world. To provide a platform for acculturation and exchange of ideas amongst its members as well as other non-member Associations. To defend principles of equal opportunities and open access for members to express themselves on matters that cuts across the general interest of its group members. To foster unity and amity amongst Nigerian scholars in Germany. To represent and serve as a mouthpiece for Nigerian scholars at the international level. To encourage and promote inventions, innovations and creativity. To help and assist incoming scholars to properly acclimatize and integrate with ease to their newly found German Society. To serve as an avenue for the harvesting of young, educated and talented Nigerian minds for the betterment of our country Nigeria. The activities of this noble body shall strictly be non-profit and non-political, but can partake in social causes such as charity, as deemed necessary by the executive committee.

Dear Scholars,

On behalf of the National Executives of this Association, I want to appreciate the positive feedbacks from our members in respect to the NiSIG Empowerment Programme (NEP).

Over the months, actions have been taken through series of meetings between BARMER and the Administrative heads of our prestigious association to ensure that the collaboration between these great organizations provide the best output for our beloved members.

BARMER health insurance made a good start on this collaboration journey by facilitating the COVID 19 webinar proposed by NiSIG on 8th April,2020 and employed the service of Dr Molitor in this regard.
The principal objective of this webinar was achieved and this brought about further deliberation on the collaboration’s possibility.

To allow for better understanding on the benefits NiSIG-BARMER collaboration can provide for our members, a webinar will be held on our official page on the 18th of July by 7pm. During this webinar, our scholars can ask questions from the speaker, Mr Alexander Geissbach(Key account Manager,BARMER).
Through this webinar, all questions relating to health insurance will be answered and the welfare packages for our members will be discussed.

We humbly request the presence of our members at the webinar on the scheduled date and time.
