26 young Nigerian ladies recently lost their precious lives on the Mediterranean Sea on their way to Italy to seek a greener pasture, we all know the the issue of travelling abroad via risky means such as dessert, high sea and losing their lives along this process has been existing over years now, but due to the fact that this particular occurrence was publicized the house of assembly deemed it fit to look into this matter.
How do we curb this prevailing issue when there is no means for this youths to cater for their basic needs, no job, no empowerment program,due to this a lot of youth endanger their precious lives travelling abroad at all cost via any available means as a result of frustration.
This notion has to be changed that is why Idia house foundation has been established to help save the lives of our youth and to also help reduce the number of youths endangering their lives travelling abroad.
This can be achieved by orientating, empowering this youths and also providing some basic needs such as meal, clothing, shelter for the less privilege ones. Coming up with this idea will help reduce the number of youth travelling abroad to the bearest minimum because ones they lay their hands on something to provide their basic needs then no point endangering their lives travelling abroad.
