Congratulations to Hunter on successfully completing his Eagle Board of Review! 🦅

Hunter’s Scouting journey began in North Carolina as a Bear in Cub Scouts, and since joining the Transatlantic Council in 2023, he has taken part in numerous memorable Scouting adventures. From historic experiences at Bastogne, Normandy, and Meuse-Argonne to the excitement of Klondike Derby, Camp Avantura, Camp Alpine (both as a camper and staff member), and Intercamp, Hunter has truly embraced the spirit of Scouting across borders.

Within Troop 44, Hunter has demonstrated leadership, serving as Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. For his Eagle Scout Project, Hunter led an initiative to create compost bins for the U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart community. Supporting a newly renovated garden space, his project involved clearing and preparing the area, constructing three rotating compost bins, and removing old debris and unusable materials. These bins will provide sustainable compost to help the garden thrive for years to come, a meaningful contribution to the community and environment.

Hunter’s journey reflects perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to making a difference. We are proud to welcome him to the ranks of Eagle Scouts!

🦅 Well done, Hunter!

Earlier today, members of Troop 44 visited the Stuttgart Community Spouses' Club - SCSC to share a very special "Thank You."

This past December, thanks to the generous financial support of the SCSC, our Scouts traveled to Bastogne, Belgium, for the historic "Nuts Weekend." It was an unforgettable experience where they stepped directly into WWII history, walking the hallowed grounds of the Battle of the Bulge. From foxholes to memorials, the trip brought history books to life and taught our Scouts the true meaning of sacrifice and resilience.

We are so grateful to the SCSC for investing in these life-changing opportunities. Thank you, SCSC!

Wow! From action-packed activities and valuable training to a fun Chopped-style cooking competition, this weekend had it all. Scouts celebrated Scout Sunday, participated in a merit badge class, but it all started on Saturday when Scouts dove into hands-on learning during Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) with games and challenges that made leadership lessons come alive. Take a look:

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Stuttgart Community Spouses' Club - SCSC for your generous support of our Battle of the Bulge trip to Bastogne, Belgium. Because of your support, our Scouts were able to take part in a powerful and unforgettable journey of history, leadership, and remembrance.

Over three meaningful days, our Scouts:
- Visited historic sites in Marbourg, Clervaux, and Bastogne, including the Easy Company / 101st Airborne foxholes
- Learned firsthand through terrain walks and historical briefs at Schumansseck
- Experienced the Bastogne tank museum
- Paid solemn respects at the Luxembourg American Cemetery, honoring fallen soldiers they had researched, and participated in a wreath laying and flag ceremony

This trip was far more than a weekend away. It was a living classroom that connected Scouting values with real-world history, sacrifice, and service. These experiences will stay with our Scouts for a lifetime.

Thank you for investing in Troop 44 and for helping make this incredible experience possible. We are truly grateful for your continued support.

This evening, we gathered to share a flame that began its journey in Bethlehem, at the Church of the Nativity, and now shines among us as a symbol of peace, hope, and unity.

Each year, the Peace Light is lit by a child in Austria and shared by Scouts across Europe and beyond. We were honored that Scouts from Panzer Cub Scout Pack 44, along with our Den Chief William, received the Peace Light from Scouts in Austria at the Stuttgart train station and brought it home to our U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart community.

Tonight’s ceremony was beautifully led by Senior Patrol Leader Nick and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader Alana, with a meaningful closing prayer offered by Anna. As Alana passed the light from candle to candle, we were reminded that even in times of darkness, light still shines and peace begins with each of us.

Thank you to all who joined us tonight.

Go in hope. Go in unity. Go in peace. ✨

🎣 What a fantastic weekend for Troop 44 here in the Transatlantic Council! Every Scout caught a fish - so you all know what’s for dinner tonight! 😄 Beyond the fun and fresh catch, our Scouts showed incredible teamwork and spirit throughout the campout. Our older Scouts weren’t just subject matter experts out on the water; they were true role models for our younger Scouts, teaching skills, building confidence, and leading by example. That’s the heart of Scouting: learning, leadership, and adventure. 🌟

A huge THANK YOU to our dedicated leaders who make this event such a success year after year. Your guidance keeps our program thriving!

It’s always a great time to join the fun. You can become part of Scouting America any time of year. Send us a message now to find out how to get involved.
