From static to stories in Brno.
Radio Free Europe, tech, and local legends.

As our journey through the Cross-Cultural Pathways continues, we’ve been diving deeper into the intersections of history, media, and technology; all while soaking in the stories and spirit of Brno.

We’ve already:
📝 Stepped into the world of global journalism at Radio Free Europe.
🇨🇿 Did a workshop on Czech communities abroad.
❤️ Explored the heart of Brno’s historic squares.
🐲 Uncovered legends of dragons, wheels, and clocktower tricks.
📱 Visited Brno University of Technology.
💭 Reflected on the legacy of resistance and innovation.
🏰 Wandered through Brno streets and castle views.

After separating and leaving Prague, a little over 24 hours apart, our group reunited with fresh perspectives, full camera rolls, and new insights from two amazing Czech cities: Ostrava and Hradec Králové.



📍 Ostrava group:
✔️ Met the Vice Rector of the University of Ostrava (with breakfast pastries!)
✔️ Learned about study programs and university life.
✔️ Took in the views from a lookout tower and pinned our home states on the map.
✔️ Explored a state-of-the-art simulation hospital used by med students.
✔️ Visited a sports medicine center and fit in some classic sightseeing.

📍 Hradec Králové group:
✔️ Met the Vice Rector of the University of Hradec Králové.
✔️ Toured campus and explored Czech & international course offerings.
✔️ Watched a university slideshow and left with merch + info packets.
✔️ Visited the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and toured the historic city.
✔️ Wrapped it up with some shopping and city wandering.

🚂 Now we’re all back together, and heading to Brno!

🌍 Days 1, 2, & 3!!!

From orientation sessions and icebreakers to exploring the heart of Prague, our first two days of the Cross-Cultural Pathways for Young Leaders summer program have been full of learning, laughter, and connection.

We’ve already:
✅ Dived into intercultural workshops
✅ Met inspiring guest speakers
✅ Stepped into beautiful historic spaces
✅ Crushed a Czech crash course
✅ Learned about education & diplomacy at DZS
✅ Listened in on a powerful panel at Karolinum
✅ Explored Czech history at UNYP
✅ Took in the beauty of Prague on an architecture tour
✅ And started forming the friendships that will shape this journey 🤝
