The final day - Day 5 of Palestine Week in Prague! ❤️🇵🇸 We can’t believe it’s been a week and we miss you all a lot so here are some pictures to take us back 🍉
We kicked off the day by reading some beautiful poetry by Mahmoud Darwish, Palestine’s national poet, in Arabic, English and Czech 🌾
Afterwards, members of the Palestinian Club and hosted a brainstorming session on international solidarity efforts with the Palestinian people 📣
The Palestinian Club then gave us a quick Dabke for Beginners lesson to get us ready for the B2B set with DJs .tohfa and .fotos who transported us to the Levant through music 💃🏻🎶 The sounds of Ana Dammi Falasteeni and traditional arabic songs with a modern twist filled the air until sunset ❤️🩹
Many thanks to Palestinian Club for bringing us some delicious olives from Palestine and sumac lemonade, for the vegan lemon cake and restaurant for the feast of traditional food 🧆🫒
Throughout the day we also had a Tatreez (Palestinian embroidery) workshop by again and an arts workshop - thank you all for participating! 🎨🧵🪡 and many thanks for for creating some beautiful henna art in the camp 🤎
