Czech Institute of Directors The Czech Institute of Directors is an independent, non-profit organization that was established in 1998.

The Czech Institute of Directors (CIoD) is a non-profit organization that aims at promoting the right company governance by organizing educational courses, conferences and other events in the Czech Republic. The aim of the organization is to promote the ideas of corporate governance in the Czech Republic. When promoting the idea of right company governance, the Institute uses various tools, e.g. o

rganization of the certified training courses (by the Ministry of Education), holding conferences on current topics with the participation of outstanding personalities from our companies. We are working on creation of standards of right company governance and their recognition by Czech companies and representatives of important parties involved (e.g. Prague securities exchange, Bank associations, Government or Academia). At present the Institute joins together about 40 members of the boards of directors and supervisory boards of the most important Czech companies. CIoD is a member of ECODA (European Confederation of Director's Associations).
