The purpose of ESPA is to promote education and research amongst practitioners of paediatric anaesthesia in Europe in order to provide safe and high-quality perioperative care and pain management in children ESPA is interested in paediatric anaesthesia in the broadest sense of the term which can include at least the following: perioperative care for children, intensive care for children, pain therapy for children and emergency medicine for children.

📢 Paediatric EEG Bootcamp BASIC: SBI–PALNET–SafeTots

On 5 December 2026, Villa Quartara in Genoa, Italy, will host a dedicated hands-on course focused on EEG monitoring in paediatric anaesthesia, with participation available both in person and online.

Through focused lectures, interactive discussions, and case-based workshops, participants will explore EEG interpretation, artifact recognition, age-specific EEG patterns, and the effects of commonly used anaesthetic agents.

The course is particularly relevant for anaesthesiologists working with children, as well as residents and fellows interested in integrating EEG monitoring into clinical practice.
