Náš příspěvek v rámci kampaně ke Světovému dni Downova syndromu🥰
Our World Down Syndrome Day poster campaign continues — today with a story that will warm your heart completely, from the Czech Republic!
Meet Liliana. 💙
Liliana has a gift. Not one that can be taught or learned — but one that comes from somewhere deep and genuine. She knows how to bring comfort to people who feel alone. She knows how to spread joy in the places it is needed most. And she does it not with many words, but with something far more powerful: a quiet embrace, a warm presence, a gentle touch, and a love that truly warms the heart.
In the photograph, Liliana is visiting her dear neighbour, Mrs. Sadloňová — 92 years old — whom she and her family visit regularly, with affection and with respect.
Think about what that means to Mrs. Sadloňová. To have someone show up, consistently and lovingly, and simply be there. For so many older people, loneliness is a daily reality. And for Liliana, bringing comfort to those who need it most is as natural as breathing.
This is what looks like in its most beautiful and human form. Not a programme or a policy — though those matter too — but a young woman and her neighbour, sitting together, connected across generations by nothing more, and nothing less, than love.
This World Down Syndrome Day, we celebrate Liliana — and every person with Down syndrome whose presence makes the world a warmer, kinder, less lonely place. 🌍❤️
