🌍📢 Do you want to better understand how global climate decisions are shaped before they reach COP negotiations?

Join us for the "Understanding the UNFCCC: The Importance of Its Subsidiary Bodies (SB64)", part of the Changemakers for Agri-food Action Series.
While COPs often receive the most attention, much of the technical work, negotiations, and decision preparation happens through the UNFCCC's Subsidiary Bodies. These bodies play a critical role in advancing discussions on climate finance, adaptation, mitigation, transparency, technology transfer, and capacity building, laying the foundation for decisions adopted at COPs.
This session will provide an opportunity to:

🔹 Understand the role of the Subsidiary Bodies (SBI and SBSTA) within the UNFCCC process.
🔹 Explore why SB64 matters on the road to future climate negotiations.
🔹 Learn how young people can engage meaningfully in climate policy spaces.
🔹 Strengthen your understanding of global climate governance and its links to agrifood systems transformation.

🌱 Juventudes rurales se toman la agenda de la Reforma Agraria en el marco de ICARRD+20

El evento, impulsado por organizaciones juveniles de diferentes regiones de Colombia, junto con la Coalición Internacional por el Acceso a la Tierra (ILC) y la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura FAO, busca poner en el centro las voces, experiencias y propuestas de las juventudes, actores clave en temas relacionados con la gobernanza de la tierra. 🌾

El evento combinará un panel multiactor con metodologías participativas que permitirán recoger propuestas, identificar barreras y visibilizar rutas de incidencia juvenil que ya se vienen construyendo desde los territorios. Asimismo, conectará las discusiones nacionales con los debates internacionales sobre juventud, tierras y sistemas alimentarios sostenibles.
