Showcasing the central outcome of the Democracy Lab training 🎉

Participants got to work on creating an engaging campaign to ignite and motivate democratic change 📣

It was a chance to approach campaigning from different angles, whether it be through art, community engagement, or statistics.

During our "Melt the Ice: Build Intergenerational Bridges" training in Finland a few months ago, participants put their heads together and came up with this☝️

We devised some practical tips for spotting intergenerational tension, understanding what might be underneath it, and responding constructively. It became clear that, more often than not, the conflict is not really about what is being said 💭

Exciting things last weekend ❄🥳

A few days ago, our presidents, Nazarena and Jannis, represented IYNF at the COMEM of European Youth Forum. During three days of meetings up in Tromsø, the European Youth Capital of 2026, motions were discussed and a new Board was elected!

We would like to especially highlight that the motion IYNF submitted on the topic Sustainable Logistics: Moving efficiently, climate-friendly and resiliently was approved by the General Assembly, now a statement from young people calling for more sustainability in logistics.

Congratulations to the newly elected Board members. We look forward to working with you!

Naturefriends 2025 Climate Fund Impact Report is HERE 🌳

It is time to look back on the Climate Fund's 8th year in action 💫 In 2025, the Climate Fund has reached its second-highest donation year and naturally has grown its impact across the communities and ecosystems it serves!

Our Democracy Hacks training will focus on practical strategies and skill-building for you and other young, motivated individuals to tackle pressing democratic challenges📌 You will also learn the key ingredients of effective activism to spark action online and at a local level!

- Practice media literacy skills to decode misleading narratives 💻

We would like to congratulate Naturfreundejugend Deutschlands also to their 100 years anniversary and look forward to cooperate and shape the next 100 years with them. 🎉🎉🎉

On April 24th, one of IYNF's president and two vice presidents joined for the European Youth Week kick-off event alongside more than 1000 other leaders from Europe and beyond. 🇪🇺 🌍

The meeting was initiated by opening messages from the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen. Throughout the whole week, the event provided the space and time for rich and fruitful exchange between inspiring young leaders initiating change. 💪

To recognise the work and impact of the youth, the exhibition “Three Decades of Solidarity” was organised outside the European Parliament in Brussels, thanks to the support of the National Agencies for Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps. It aims to celebrate the 30th anniversary of volunteering funded by the European Union and it will be ongoing till the 6th of May; as well, an online version of the exhibition will also be featured via the European Youth Portal. 🤝

Another training for the books📚

Our Democracy Lab training marked the first part of our Democracy Re: Boot project. The week set a foundation for knowledge-building and exploration into relevant political and societal issues under the core topic of democracy.

Advocating for democracy is a fundamental part of our work at IYNF and closely connected to our red value 🔴

Are you passionate about making a difference, connecting with new people, and sharing your skills?

We’re looking for two enthusiastic ESC volunteers (18–30) to join our Prague office for 12 months starting September 2026!

As part of our team, you’ll contribute to managing social media, organising international activities, creating promotional materials, and supporting youth mobility programmes. You’ll also improve your English, learn Czech, and expand your professional skills, all while working in a multicultural environment!

What a time in Prague at our Democracy Lab training🇨🇿

Although it’s been a week since the training, the memories are fresh in our minds🫶🏻

From April 13th to the 18th, we delved into what democracy truly means today, explored its biggest challenges within young people’s lives, and developed our campaigning skills.

A big thank you to all the participants who brought an open and enthusiasm to learn as well as who welcomed us and provided our learning spaces (with wonderful furry companions)🐑
