Through the Education on Ocean and Sea Turtle Conservation fundraiser, we were able to support the team at Laut Biru, and Polman Ocean Fest on Sulawesi took place. 🐢🌊

Thanks to all our donors, we raised €1,000. The organizers sent us what it looked like.

There was a talk about waste. A talk show brought together ocean and sea turtle conservation experts and local people to discuss who is responsible for keeping the ocean clean and how communities and schools can change things together.

Kids learned how to look after sea turtles. On Lapeo Beach, where Laut Biru works with Save Turtle to protect nests and release hatchlings into the sea, they played a game of rescuing turtles. They searched for hidden turtles among litter and driftwood and “freed” them. Then they cleaned up all the trash they found.

This is exactly why teaching children now matters so much. What they understand and experience firsthand today, they will carry forward and keep protecting the ocean twenty years from now.

🔥 This isn’t the past. Borneo is burning right now.

This year’s fire season is one of the worst in recent years, and its peak is still ahead. For orangutans, fire means losing their home, their food, and their mothers. And babies left alone can’t make it without human help.

90,000 acres of wilderness. 🦏

Ol Pejeta Conservancy protects the largest black rhino population in East Africa and the last two northern white rhinos on Earth. It's also home to the Big Five and a unique chimpanzee sanctuary, linked to the surrounding ecosystem by migration corridors. 🐘🦒🐃🦏🦁

The reserve shows that wildlife conservation and traditional livestock farming can work side by side.

2023 was a turning point at Ol Pejeta Conservancy 💧

The drought was so severe that rivers and boreholes feeding the rhinos' watering holes dried up. 🦏 The reserve had to truck in water from town to keep wildlife and livestock alive. Rangers with over 20 years of experience had never seen anything like it.

Rainfall patterns are shifting too, arriving unpredictably and often as sudden downpours. Climate change isn't theory here anymore ‼

Abraham Njenga guards some of the rarest animals on the planet. 🦏🦏

As Manager of Wildlife Operations at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya, he oversees the protection of many endangered species, including Najin and Fatu, the last two northern white rhinos on Earth. Rangers watch over them around the clock to keep them safe from poachers. 💪

Fundraiser: Bobby is learning to walk again 🐕

Bobby was hit by a car on a busy road in Bali. His hind legs stopped working, and he's been at the clinic ever since, learning to stand on his own again, for now with the help of a wheeled cart.

His chances of walking normally are small, but Bobby isn't giving up, and he's getting better every day. He's a young dog, grateful and friendly with everyone around him.
