Invitation to the SELF–ERAS 2025 Conference in Singapore

IACEP is pleased to share an invitation from the Educational Research Association of Singapore (ERAS) and the International Global SELF Research Centre.

Date: 18–21 November 2025
Location: Hwa Chong Institution, Singapore
Theme: The Self in Context: Pathways to Flourishing, Learning and Well-Being

The Joint 11th SELF International & 24th ERAS Conference will gather leading researchers, educators, practitioners, and policy-makers from around the world. Key themes include self, motivation and identity, leadership and policy, sustainable learning, and emerging trends in education.

Keynote speakers will feature internationally recognized scholars such as Reinhard Pekrun, Richard Ryan, John Hattie, Johnmarshall Reeve, and others.

Participants are invited to attend, submit proposals, or organize symposia to highlight their expertise.

International Conference 2025 in Prague

The three-day meeting examined the cognitive approach to education, spanning special educational needs, psychological capital, design thinking for adolescents, and the neuropsychology of learning. Forty presentations from scholars in 11 countries—Italy, Israel, the United Kingdom, Norway, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Belgium, Germany, Australia, Kazakhstan, and Slovakia—combined empirical research with national experience and facilitated extensive professional networking.

• Cand. Polit. Gunvor Sonnesyn (Norway)
• Prof. David Tzuriel (Israel)

Discussions centred on teachers’ professional perspectives in light of emerging trends and diverse learner needs. Innovative and preventive methods were showcased for early childhood, special, primary, and secondary education.

This two-day workshop introduces Nyborg’s Concept Teaching Model (CTM), focusing on the development of basic conceptual systems such as colour, shape, position, and size. Through theory, group work, and practical examples, participants will explore how CTM supports foundational skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and social-emotional learning.
