🌱 Sustainable Prague: Our Self-Guided City Tour Went Live!

This morning, members of Wild Geese hit the streets of Prague's city center for our "Sustainable Prague" walking tour — and what a morning it was! ☀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Starting at the iconic Astronomical Clock (600+ years old and still ticking — talk about sustainable design 😉), we wound through hidden green corners of the city most tourists never find: the walled Franciscan Garden, Slavic Island's floodplain park, the centuries-old water mills on Kampa's Čertovka stream, the peacock-filled Vojan Gardens, Charles Bridge, and finished up at Maitrea — a restaurant built inside one of Prague's earliest sustainably retrofitted buildings. 🦢🦚⛲🌉

Along the way, we talked about what sustainability really looks like in a historic city: car-free zones, urban biodiversity, flood resilience, renewable energy heritage, and buildings upgraded instead of torn down. Sometimes the most sustainable choice is the one that's already been standing for centuries. 💚

This event is a follow-up activity to Green Pathways, an Erasmus+ training course organized by Sustainable for the Future Foundation, that empowers youth workers to integrate sustainability into their everyday practice through experiential learning and nature-based approaches. Building on the experience of Green Compass and guided by the European Sustainability Competence Framework (GreenComp), the 7-day course ran May 31 – June 8, 2026 in Bansko, Bulgaria, and gave participants:

🔧 Practical tools to integrate sustainability into youth work
🌳 Experience with non-formal and nature-based learning methods
💡 Inspiration and ideas for local actions
🌍 Connections with an international network of youth workers

Today's walking tour is exactly that: an idea from Bansko, put into practice back home. 🎒✨

🎨 Open Call | Eco-Art for Inclusion in Malgrat de Mar, Barcelona

Spend a week by the Mediterranean creating ecological art - murals, sculptures, and paintings - alongside young people from four countries.

Eco-Art for Inclusion is an Erasmus+ youth exchange for those who care about art, the environment, and meeting people from different cultures. Across the week you'll take part in hands-on workshops, environmental activities, cultural visits, and sport - all built around teamwork and genuine connection. It's learning by doing, not sitting in a classroom.

📅 18–25 October 2026 | Malgrat de Mar, Barcelona

Who is it for?
Participants from Czechia 🇨🇿 - residents or citizens, aged 18-30, who are:
🌱 interested in art and ecology
✨ open-minded and motivated
🌍 ready for an intercultural experience
🤝 happy to work in a team and be creative

No previous Erasmus+ experience is needed.

What's included:

💶 Travel costs reimbursed up to 309€ - and if you choose green travel, the higher cost is covered too 🌿

In April, we had the privilege of visiting La Voie School to put school supplies directly into the hands of learners who need them most. It was about more than just handing out materials, it was about giving these students the practical support they need to finish their school year strong, tackle their exams with confidence, and cross the finish line. 📚📖
