Jsme česká skupina mezinárodní Star Wars kostýmové organizace REBEL LEGION ... Představujeme kostýmy kladných hrdinů Hvězdných válek.

Lion Base je součástí mezinárodní Star Wars kostýmové organizace Rebel Legion, která propaguje Star Wars fandom a zároveň pomáhá lidem charitativními a veřejně prospěšnými činnostmi. Rebel Legion byla založena v roce 2000 a dnes má již přes 1700 členů ve více než 30 zemích světa. Lion Base a stejně tak Rebel Legion, je založená a tvořená fanoušky Star Wars, kteří se zajímají o tvorbu co nejpřesněj

ších kostýmů kladných postav ze světa Star Wars (například rytířů Jedi, povstaleckých pilotů, vojáků, princezen a dokonce i Wookieeů…) a zároveň chtějí pomáhat těm, kteří v životě moc štěstí neměli.

Po dlouhých letech se značka Star Wars vrátila také do prostředí rychlého občerstvení. Burger King Česká republika při příležitosti uvedení filmu Star Wars: Mandalorian a Grogu představil speciální menu i sběratelské předměty inspirované nejnovějším příběhem z předaleké galaxie.

Velkou ctí pro nás bylo stát se součástí této kampaně. Společně s našimi členy jsme na jedno odpoledne proměnili pobočku Burger Kingu na Václavském náměstí v dočasnou základnu „těch dobrých“. Největší pozornost samozřejmě poutali Din Djarin a jeho legendární parťák Boba Fett, kteří se po celé odpoledne ochotně fotili s návštěvníky i kolemjdoucími. Mnoho fanoušků po fotce s galaktickými hrdiny následně zamířilo dovnitř pro tematické menu nebo sběratelský hrnek s motivem Mandaloriana či Grogua. Bylo skvělé sledovat, jak silnou odezvu značka Star Wars stále mezi českými fanoušky má.

Velké poděkování patří všem návštěvníkům i kolemjdoucím, ale také společnosti Burger King ČR za důvěru a možnost stát se součástí kampaně k filmu Star Wars: Mandalorian a Grogu. Vždy nás těší, když můžeme přibližovat svět Star Wars široké veřejnosti a podílet se na oficiálních událostech spojených s touto legendární značkou.

After many years, Star Wars has finally returned to the world of fast food in the Czech Republic. To celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu, Burger King Czech Republic introduced a special themed menu along with exclusive collectible items inspired by the newest adventure from a galaxy far, far away.

It was a great honor for us to be part of this campaign. Together with our members, we transformed the Burger King restaurant on Wenceslas Square in Prague into a temporary base for “the good guys” for one afternoon. Naturally, the biggest stars were Din Djarin and his legendary companion Boba Fett, who happily posed for photos with visitors and passersby throughout the event. Many fans, after meeting these iconic galactic heroes, headed straight inside to grab the special menu or one of the collectible mugs featuring The Mandalorian or Grogu. It was wonderful to see just how strong the Star Wars community remains in the Czech Republic.

Our sincere thanks go to everyone who stopped by, as well as to Burger King Czech Republic for their trust and for giving us the opportunity to be part of the promotional campaign for Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu. We are always proud to help bring the world of Star Wars closer to the public and to participate in official events connected with this legendary franchise.

V rámci navázané spolupráce s Nakladatelství CREW jsme měli letos možnost zúčastnit se největšího českého literárního festivalu a knižního veletrhu Svět knihy 2026. Právě díky pozvání nakladatelství CREW, které v České republice vydává komiksové a manga knihy od Disney, jsme mohli být součástí prezentace stále rostoucí nabídky Star Wars manga titulů.

Svět knihy každoročně přivádí do Prahy desetitisíce návštěvníků, milovníků literatury, komiksů i populární kultury. O to větší radost jsme měli z toho, že se mezi tradičními knihami a komiksy stále více prosazují také příběhy z předaleké galaxie. Velký zájem vzbuzovaly především manga adaptace herního příběhu Padlý řád, ale také tituly z éry Vrcholné republiky.

Po celý sobotní den jsme pomáhali vytvářet atmosféru na stánku nakladatelství CREW s kolegy z Czech Garrison 501st Legion, návštěvníkům představovali činnost Rebel Legion a odpovídali na dotazy týkající se kostýmů. Mnoho návštěvníků využilo příležitosti pořídit si fotografii s postavami ze světa Star Wars a bylo příjemné sledovat, kolik nových čtenářů právě díky CREW objevuje mangu z této oblíbené ságy.

Pro nás osobně bylo velmi příjemné vrátit se po několika letech zpět na Svět knihy. Moc děkujeme nakladatelství CREW za pozvání. Jsme rádi, že jsme mohli být součástí propagace Star Wars manga titulů a těšíme se na další společné projekty.

As part of our newly established partnership with CREW Publishing, we had the opportunity this year to attend Svět knihy 2026, the largest literary festival and book fair in the Czech Republic. Thanks to an invitation from CREW, which publishes Disney comics and manga titles in the Czech Republic, we were able to take part in presenting the ever-growing range of Star Wars manga releases.

Every year, Book World Prague welcomes tens of thousands of visitors, including literature enthusiasts, comic book readers, and pop culture fans. It was especially rewarding to see stories from a galaxy far, far away gaining increasing attention among the traditional books and comics on display. Visitors showed particular interest in the manga adaptation of the Jedi: Fallen Order storyline, as well as titles set during the High Republic era.

Throughout Saturday, together with our friends from 501st Legion – Czech Garrison, we helped create an engaging atmosphere at the CREW booth, introduced visitors to the activities of the Rebel Legion, and answered questions about costuming and the Star Wars fan community. Many attendees took the opportunity to have their photos taken with Star Wars characters, and it was wonderful to see how many new readers are discovering Star Wars manga thanks to CREW's efforts.

On a personal level, it was a pleasure to return to Book World after several years. We would like to sincerely thank CREW Publishing for the invitation. We are grateful to have been part of promoting Star Wars manga titles and look forward to many future collaborations together.

4. květen se neodmyslitelně zapsal mezi fanoušky Star Wars jako každoroční oslava tohoto fenoménu. Celá tato tradice vznikla skrze slovní hříčku „May The 4th Be With You”. Společnost LEGO, která patří mezi naše dlouhodobé partnery se k těmto oslavám také připojuje skrze uvedení nových stavebnic, výhodnými akcemi a speciálními dárky. Byli jsme proto moc poctěni, že jsme byli k příležitosti těchto oslav opět pozváni do oficiálního českého LEGO Store v nákupním centru Westfield Chodov v Praze.

Společně s kolegy z Czech Garrison 501st Legion jsme během tohoto speciálního dne pomáhali dotvářet jedinečnou atmosféru pražského LEGO Store. Jen málokterý návštěvník odolal možnosti pořídit si společnou fotografii s piloty X-wingů, klonovým vojákem, rytířem Jedi nebo povstaleckým důstojníkem. Velké nadšení, zejména u dětských návštěvníků, vzbudila také přítomnost Sabine Wren.

Ani jsme se nenadáli a letošní oslavy Star Wars Dne 2026 v pražském LEGO Store byly za námi. Chtěli bychom tímto poděkovat společnosti LEGO Česká republika za pozvání, skvělou spolupráci a také za darované LEGO stavebnice, které využijeme během našich charitativních návštěv v dětských nemocnicích. Moc si této podpory vážíme a už teď se těšíme na budoucí spolupráci!

May 4th has become an inseparable part of the Star Wars fandom as the annual celebration of this legendary phenomenon. The entire tradition originated from the famous play on words “May The 4th Be With You.” LEGO, one of our long-term partners, also joins these celebrations every year through the release of new sets, special promotions, and exclusive gifts. We were therefore truly honored to once again be invited to the official Czech LEGO Store at Westfield Chodov in Prague as part of these celebrations.

Together with our colleagues from 501st Legion – Czech Garrison, we helped create the unique atmosphere inside the Prague LEGO Store throughout this special day. Very few visitors could resist the opportunity to take photos with X-wing pilots, a clone trooper, a Jedi Knight, or a Rebel officer. One of the biggest highlights, especially for younger visitors, was the presence of Sabine Wren.

Before we knew it, the Star Wars Day 2026 celebrations at the Prague LEGO Store had come to an end. We would like to sincerely thank LEGO Czech Republic for the invitation, the wonderful cooperation, and also for the donated LEGO sets, which we will use during our charity visits to children’s hospitals. We truly appreciate this support and are already looking forward to future collaborations!

Díky pozvání našich blízkých přátel z německé Rebel Legion - German Base Yavin jsme měli obrovskou čest zúčastnit se události Mandalorian & Grogu Fan Celebration v Berlíně. Celá akce se nesla v duchu skutečně výjimečných oslav Star Wars Dne a zároveň představovala unikátní setkání kostýmových základen z celé střední Evropy. Na jednom místě se tak sešli členové Rebel Legion z několika zemí, aby společně oslavili nejen 4. květen, ale především blížící se premiéru filmu Star Wars: Mandalorian a Grogu.

Hlavní část programu probíhala v okolí berlínského Uber Platz a UBER Areny, kde se fanoušci v kostýmech stali doslova součástí samotné premiérové atmosféry. Už samotný pohled na dvě stovky kostýmovaných fanoušků z různých koutů Evropy byl pro mnohé neuvěřitelným zážitkem. Jedním z největších momentů celého dne byla možnost projít se po slavnostním "zeleném koberci" a možnost se také osobně setkat s režisérem Jonem Favreauem i herci Pedrem Pascalem a Sigourney Weaver. Součástí večera byl také speciální moment na řece Sprévě, kde byla slavnostně rozsvícena obrovská světelná instalace Grogua umístěná přímo na vodní ploše. Třešničkou na závěr celého dne promítání prvních 25 minut filmu Mandalorian a Grogu více než dva týdny před oficiální premiérou. Nechyběly nápoje, popcorn, drobné dárky a také tombola pro všechny diváky v UCI LUXE Cinema.

Obrovské poděkování patří Rebel Legion - German Base Yavin za pozvání, organizaci a možnost stát se součástí této nezapomenutelné události. Velmi si vážíme přátelství i spolupráce napříč evropskými základnami Rebel Legion. A samozřejmě děkujeme také společnostem Disney a Lucasfilm za možnost být součástí tak výjimečné oslavy návratu Star Wars na velké plátno. Toť způsob náš!

Thanks to the invitation from our close friends of the German Rebel Legion – German Base Yavin, we had the great honor of attending the Mandalorian & Grogu Fan Celebration in Berlin. The entire event was held in the spirit of truly exceptional Star Wars Day celebrations and also served as a unique gathering of costuming bases from across Central Europe. Members of the Rebel Legion from several countries came together in one place to celebrate not only May 4th, but above all the upcoming premiere of Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu.

The main part of the program took place around Berlin’s Uber Platz and the UBER Arena, where costumed fans literally became part of the premiere atmosphere itself. The sight of around two hundred costumed fans from across Europe was an unforgettable experience for many. One of the biggest highlights of the day was the opportunity to walk the “green carpet” and personally meet director Jon Favreau as well as actors Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver. Another special moment of the evening took place on the River Spree, where a massive illuminated Grogu installation was ceremoniously lit directly on the water. The highlight of the entire day was the screening of the first 25 minutes of The Mandalorian & Grogu, shown more than two weeks ahead of its official release. Drinks, popcorn, small gifts, and a raffle for all guests at UCI LUXE Cinema completed the experience.

Our sincere thanks go to Rebel Legion – German Base Yavin for the invitation, organization, and the opportunity to be part of this unforgettable event. We deeply appreciate the friendship and cooperation across all European Rebel Legion bases. And of course, we also thank Disney and Lucasfilm for allowing us to be part of such a special celebration of Star Wars returning to the big screen. This is the way!

4. květen je svátkem všech fanoušků ságy Star Wars a to díky slovní hříčce věty „May the 4th Be With You“ (4. květen s tebou), která při vyslovení zní téměř jako legendární pozdrav ze Star Wars – „May The Force Be With You“ (Nechť tě provází Síla). Star Wars Den vznikl díky věrným fanouškům a právě oni založili tradici oslav, které se konají každý rok po celém světě a letos opět i v České republice.

Stejně jako v předchozích letech odstartoval program už během dopoledne tradičním pochodem historickým centrem Prahy. Následný samotný program v holešovickém Cross Clubu byl připraven tak, aby si na své přišli jak dlouholetí fanoušci, tak úplní nováčci či rodiny s dětmi. Velký důraz jsme s kolegy z Czech Garrison 501st Legion a Czech Garrison 501st Legion kladli především na aktuální projekty ze světa Star Wars — animovaný seriál Star Wars: Maul – Pán stínů a celovečerní film Star Wars: Mandalorian a Grogu. Návštěvníci si mohli užít přednášky, besedy, soutěže, videohry, karetní hru i interaktivní aktivity zaměřené právě na tyto novinky z předaleké galaxie.

Poděkování patří všem návštěvníkům, partnerům (Disney+, Falcon, LEGO, Asmodee, CREW a další), hostům i organizátorům. Právě díky vám měl letošní Star Wars Den 2026 fantastickou atmosféru a znovu ukázal, jak silná a aktivní je česká komunita fanoušků Star Wars. Děkujeme!

May 4th is a celebration for all Star Wars fans, thanks to the famous play on words “May the 4th Be With You,” which sounds very similar to the iconic Star Wars phrase “May the Force Be With You.” Star Wars Day was created by passionate fans themselves, and over the years they established a tradition of celebrations that now take place all around the world — including once again this year in the Czech Republic.

Just like in previous years, the celebrations began in the morning with the traditional parade through the historic center of Prague. The main program, held afterwards at Prague’s Cross Club, was designed to welcome longtime fans, newcomers, and families with children alike. Together with our colleagues from 501st Legion – Czech Garrison and Czech Star Wars Universe, we placed special focus on current Star Wars projects — particularly the animated series Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord and the upcoming feature film Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu. Visitors enjoyed lectures, discussions, competitions, video games, card games, and interactive activities inspired by these latest adventures from a galaxy far, far away.

Special thanks go to all visitors, partners (Disney+, Falcon, LEGO, Asmodee, CREW and many others), guests, and organizers. Thanks to all of you, this year’s Star Wars Day 2026 had an incredible atmosphere and once again proved how strong and passionate the Czech Star Wars community truly is. Thank you!

Během letošních oslav 4. května (tzv. mezinárodní Star Wars Day) jsme si opravdu nemohli nechat ujít i jednu z nejzajímavějších událostí v Brně, tzv. Hvězdné Vodojemy.

Unikátní prostory vodojemů na Žlutém kopci se pro jediný večer proměnily v galaktický svět plný hry světel, hudby a atmosféry předaleké galaxie. Samotné prostory připomínající mystické katedrály se přímo nabízely k tomu, abychom dorazili v kostýmech rytířů Jedi — zvlášť ve chvílích, kdy temné podzemní chodby rozzářila záře světelných mečů a celé vodojemy získaly téměř filmovou atmosféru. Stali jsme se tak součástí zážitku, kdy se s námi návštěvníci fotili v monumentálních podzemních prostorách, diskutovali o Star Wars a společně si užívali celkovou atmosféru.

Moc děkujeme TIC Brno za pozvání a důvěru při této spolupráci. Pevně věříme, že Hvězdné Vodojemy nebyly jednorázovou událostí a že se z nich do budoucna stane krásná tradice, ke které se budeme moci s radostí vracet! Díky!

During this year’s May 4th celebrations (the international Star Wars Day), we simply couldn’t miss one of the most unique events taking place in Brno — the so-called Star Reservoirs (Hvězdné Vodojemy).

For one special evening, the extraordinary underground reservoirs beneath Žlutý kopec transformed into a galactic world filled with lights, music, and the atmosphere of a galaxy far, far away. The spaces themselves, resembling mystical cathedrals, felt like the perfect setting for us to arrive dressed as Jedi Knights — especially in moments when the dark underground corridors were illuminated by the glow of lightsabers, giving the entire venue an almost cinematic atmosphere. We became part of the experience itself, as visitors took photos with us in the monumental underground halls, talked with us about Star Wars, and together enjoyed the unique spirit of the evening.

We would like to sincerely thank TIC Brno for the invitation and trust in this collaboration. We truly hope that Hvězdné Vodojemy was not a one-time event and that it will grow into a wonderful tradition that we will happily return to in the years to come. Thank you!
