The practice will turn into vipassana once mindfulness has been well established. Contemplating the body, the yogi sees the objects arising and vanishing, and at this point the wisdom starts to grow in the yogi. He does not let go off mindfulness. The mindfulness is established and the mind is not diluted or contaminated by craving, conceit and views. Then one lives having realized what is meant by ‘the world’ – the world is the five aggregates. The yogi lives with the understanding of this fact, and therefore doesn’t cling to any of the aggregates.
