🌿 Hunters for Nature: Czech Hunters Turning Conservation into Action
In Czechia, hunters are proving once again that conservation starts on the ground.
🇨🇿 The Czech Hunting Association (ČMMJ Českomoravská myslivecká jednota) launched “Hunters for Nature” (Myslivci pro přírodu) — a national initiative that documents, supports, and recognises practical biodiversity work carried out by hunters and local hunting groups across the country.
From habitat restoration and wildlife monitoring to nature education and species management, the initiative highlights how hunters actively contribute to healthier ecosystems far beyond protected areas alone.
🦌🌱 By bringing local projects together under one national framework, Czech hunters are helping make conservation efforts more visible, measurable, and recognised.
The initiative is also closely connected to the FACE Biodiversity Manifesto, showing how sustainable use and grassroots action can support biodiversity recovery across Europe’s countryside.
Because conservation is not only about policy —
it is also about the people working in the field every day.
