Před 150 lety během 5 dnů v německém Bayreuthu poprvé kompletně zazněla Wagnerova tetralogie Prsten Nibelungův – 13. srpna 1876 se zrodila tradice, která trvá dodnes a z jejího dějiště učinila jedno z nejvýznamnějších poutních míst milovníků opery z celého světa.
