We are a group of mostly young people who combine meaningful volunteering for nature, historical sites and people with unconventional experiences and fun.

𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗𝗕𝗬𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗔

No Farewell, just a goodbye ! 🫂🫶

This week, we accompanied our friend Selina, a long-term ESC volunteer from Laos, to the airport. ✈️

Her enthusiastic energy and supportive attitude were very precious assets to our team ! It sure will be missed ! ☀️

In many opportunities she demonstrated her creativity and proactiveness in our activities and always in a caring manner concerning the team mates ! ☝️✨

Also, the streets of Brno will surely miss their favorite Rollerblader! 🛼

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀?

As a volunteer with 𝗛𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗶́ 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗿𝘂𝘀, I see hiking as more than just exercise. It’s a way to reconnect with nature, clear my mind, and stay healthy. Physically, it strengthens the heart, builds endurance, and keeps the body active without feeling like a workout.

Mentally, hiking is my escape. The fresh air, the sounds of nature, and the rhythm of walking help reduce stress and bring a sense of calm. It’s also a great way to connect with others, whether through group hikes or conservation efforts, I’ve met amazing people who share the same passion for nature.
For me, hiking isn’t just a hobby; it’s a way to stay balanced, both physically and mentally. 𝘐𝘯 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥, 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬.

As we know, spring started a few days ago, and it's our opportunity to go and feel nature :)

Helping for a Volunteering Meeting

Last Friday, an informative meeting for Czech volunteers took place at Hnuti Brontosaurus headquarters ! 🦕
It was a nice moment of gathering, sharing and learning. 🤝🏼

So of course, to accompany that, a breakfast☕ was needed and our international volunteers were happy to help ! 💪🏼

TREE CUTTING IN MIKULOV
On the week-end from 14th to 16th of March, we, International Volunteers joined an event about tree-cutting in Mikulov. 🌳
We took care of the meals for 13 people. It was a challenge to do it without any kitchen ! 🍝
Other volunteers had the opportunity to get important informations and practice on how to cut trees in a responsible and healthy way for the nature ! They ended this week-end with precious knowledge and skills. 🏞️💪🏼
And of course, we could enjoy some quality time with Czech volunteers we met there ! We had a nice hike and a board game night, how fun ! 👌🏼

We’re so happy to welcome Issa, our new long-term ESC volunteer at Hnutí Brontosaurus ! 🦕

Issa comes from the West Bank of the beautiful country of Palestin𝗲 🇵🇸. Being 29 years old he loves to act as a brother figure and share his experience to inspire others. ☝🏼

He is thrilled to join us at Brontosaurus because he believes that the environment you're in shapes your character, so being in a creative space helps foster creativity ! 🧠💡

Hey Brontosaurus friends and adventure lovers!
From February 28 to March 2, the Hnutí Brontosaurus General Assembly brought together organizers for an important moment of reflection, decision-making, and of course… celebration ! 🎉
🗓 Here’s what happened !
🔎 We reflected on the past year, what rocked, what flopped, and what we’ve learned!
📜 We set our main goals for the next three years, shaping the future of Brontosaurus!
🗳 We elected our brave new leaders (executive & inspecting committees)
🌍 Our sections (Nature, Sights, Green Section, Children’s Camps, and International) brainstormed exciting plans for the year ahead!
💃 And of course… We wrapped it all with a legendary FUN NIGHT PARTY! 🎶✨
A huge thank you to all the organizers and participants for their energy, ideas, and commitment to making Brontosaurus even better! Here’s to another amazing year of green adventures ahead! 🌱💚

✨Get Started! ✨
The whole team of ESC volunteers is at the Green Forum conference in Zvolen, Slovakia 🇸🇰 representing Hnutí Brontosaurus 🦕
And what is the conference about?
👉 Presentation of the activities of civil society in the protection of nature and the environment, especially with the involvement of young people and volunteers. Programme Director Dalimil Toman presented 50 years of the organisation and we also have our ,,Ekostánek" and the exhibition ,,Příběhy nadšení" 🤩

Every party must come to an end… 💔

We, international volunteers, had come together to send 𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 safely back home ✈️ after he completed his long-term ESC volunteering program.

Ryan’s 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 were contagious, making the atmosphere not only productive but also enjoyable. Thank you for your hard work💪🏻. You consistently went above and beyond, and your efforts haven’t gone unnoticed 💐.

Life is too short for goodbyes, and the pain of parting is nothing to the 𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻. 🫂

𝗗𝗼𝗯𝗿𝘆́ 𝗱𝗲𝗻 ! 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁. 🙂

Two weeks ago, our volunteers 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮 and 𝗖𝗲́𝗹𝗶𝗼 attended their 𝗢𝗻-𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 Training, an amazing event held in a hotel in the peaceful city of Přerov.
This gathering brings together all 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 in the Czech Republic to 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 about their ESC experience and the country itself. It was also a great opportunity for them to 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 with other young people. 🗣️

The program included fun icebreaker games 🧊 to get to know each other, as well as 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 about the rich culture of this beautiful country. There were also calmer moments under the warm sunlight 🌄, along with delicious meals provided by the hotel where they stayed.

They returned from this experience 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 with new knowledge to excel in their mission and a notebook filled with 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 ! 📒
